Matt_In_NH Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 I would not have wanted him as the QB for my team but I always thought he got a bad rap....he had some injury issues that stunted his growth in Miami. He has found a great situation in Tennessee for his skill set

Limited athletically, but the team likes him so that's cool. He hasn't played like a bottom 5 QB since he's been in Tennessee. He's been playing like a top 12 QB since. 2 2
Livinginthepast Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 He wasnt touched by us except on the roughing the passer call. That was also coincidentally his worst throw of the night. He had all kinds of time to throw against a poor pass rush and slow and easily fooled defensive secondary riddled with injuries. He has done well since he got to Tennessee but lets not go overboard here. We made it as easy as possible for him to look like he was HOF last night!

Which is to say he's excellent in what he does (play action football, accurate when clean, where he can show off a strong, accurate arm, plus athlete so a threat to run), and is now smart enough to know what situations to avoid. You wouldn't ask him to carry the offense like they did in Miami, but you give him a pretty good OLine and strong running game, he can get you a SB. A way better version of Trent Dilfer. He's blasted right past Trent Dilfer and straight into Rich Gannon territory as far as late bloomers go. 2
Process Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 I'll admit I wanted to punch a hole in my tv every time I saw that stupid smile on his face last night.
DallasBillsFan1 Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 Say what you want about Tannehill, but he has been playing very good/efficient football in 2019 and 2020. Titans were in AFC Championship last year yes? Tannehill was threading the needle last night and tore Bills apart. Give him some credit. I love my Bills but he and team torched us. Buffalo looked small out there. 2

Scott7975 Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 Yes he is pretty good. I would say he is like Alex Smith tier.
BigDingus Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 Yes, he's pretty good. Better than some other QB's that won Super Bowls off the backs of their defense & run game. So, yes. He's got enough talent & skill, along with enough proficiency in the system he's in right now to play above his weight class. "Pretty good," is right on point.
CEN-CAL17 Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 Tannehill has always folded under pressure. If you hit him or get in his face his ability goes down. The last 2 years we’ve got after him. Last night not so much. Not at all really.
MYSHIFTKEYISBROKE Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 Ping me when he puts up more than 70 yards in a playoff win. He's nowhere near the dumpster fire he was in Miami, but he's still just a game manager. Put him in a place where he's gotta chuck it like a real 2020 QB, he fails and they get their barn doors blown off. 1

If those dont think it was, see McD and the Coaching staff double masking for the first time 100%. Game should of never been played. Screw Tannehill and the Tenn Covidians. They couldn’t ‘Titan Up’ their facility or protocols. Karma will get them and everyone will just smile and say ‘aw, that’s a shame’.

Doc Brown Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 He's very good. He's pry in that six to ten range of top QB's. He benefits from some good weapons, a great running back, and a good offensive line. Something he never had all at once in Miami.
