Freaking marketing! A 1-3 team playing a  0-4 team, as the national afternoon game, this is why I hate the cowboys and yet the Bills barely get any respect.

Because the Patriots game got moved.

Thats why the CBS top crew is calling an NFC Fox game

Actually don't believe that has anything to do with it.

First off the NE- Denver game was originally a 1:00 game so wouldn't have been Nance and Romo anyway.

But the main reason there was a mini feature about this in the CBS Pregame show at noon.  Today was the first time since 1994 that CBS broadcast a Dallas Giants game!  Before 1994 every year the NFC games were on CBS so every year they had two Giant Dallas games and they were often two of the most watched games on CBS.  During the pregame they actually played a clip from the last game they televised between them, Madden and Summerall were broadcasting.  Dallas won on a field goal in OT which gave them the division.  Think that may have been the last time the Bills went to the SB against Dallas or maybe the year after.

For those old enough to remember from back in the 60's until 1994 CBS broadcast the NFL and then the NFC games, NBC had all the AFL and then AFC games.  Fox then outbid CBS and got the NFC games after 1994 and the AFC games were still on NBC.

Actually just read a story the other day about Fox's first broadcast and how/why they won the bid, was kind of a cool story.  At that point many cities did not yet have a local Fox affiliate so Fox deliberately over bid to assure they'd win the contract as it forced many local affiliates to switch over to become a Fox station.  That was why they over bid as knew they'd make up the money once these stations all switched over.  There was s video with the story showing the very first pregame show, Bradshaw road in on a horse onto the set.

Maybe two years later NBC contract was up, CBS then way over bid and got the AFC games, and NBC was now out of the football business. A few years later Sunday Night football was born and NBC was back in the game.

I never watch the pre game shows anymore.

I have racing or a movie to take me up to game time.

The only one I like on that CBS show is Boomer.
