I would like him to say the entire lyrics to Billy Joel's "We didn't start the fire".

It was always burning since the world's been turning

It's this long and it's not even a rap song.

Harry Truman, Doris Day, Red China, Johnnie Ray
South Pacific, Walter Winchell, Joe DiMaggio
Joe McCarthy, Richard Nixon, Studebaker, television
North Korea, South Korea, Marilyn Monroe
Rosenbergs, H-bomb, Sugar Ray, Panmunjom
Brando, "The King and I" and "The Catcher in the Rye"
Eisenhower, vaccine, England's got a new queen
Marciano, Liberace, Santayana goodbye
We didn't start the fire
It was always burning
Since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No we didn't light it
But we tried to fight it
Joseph Stalin, Malenkov, Nasser and Prokofiev
Rockefeller, Campanella, Communist Bloc
Roy Cohn, Juan Peron, Toscanini, Dacron
Dien Bien Phu falls, "Rock Around the Clock"
Einstein, James Dean, Brooklyn's got a winning team
Davy Crockett, Peter Pan, Elvis Presley, Disneyland
Bardot, Budapest, Alabama, Krushchev
Princess Grace, "Peyton Place", trouble in the Suez
We didn't start the fire
It was always burning
Since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No we didn't light it
But we tried to fight it
Little Rock, Pasternak, Mickey Mantle, Kerouac
Sputnik, Chou En-Lai, "Bridge on the River Kwai"
Lebanon, Charlse de Gaulle, California baseball
Starkweather, homicide, children of thalidomide
Buddy Holly, "Ben Hur", space monkey, Mafia
Hula hoops, Castro, Edsel is a no-go
U2, Syngman Rhee, payola and Kennedy
Chubby Checker, "Psycho", Belgians in the Congo
We didn't start the fire
It was always burning
Since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No we didn't light it
But we tried to fight it
Hemingway, Eichmann, "Stranger in a Strange Land"
Dylan, Berlin, Bay of Pigs invasion
"Lawrence of Arabia", British Beatlemania
Ole Miss, John Glenn, Liston beats Patterson
Pope Paul, Malcolm X, British politician sex
JFK, blown away, what else do I have to say
We didn't start the fire
It was always burning
Since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No we didn't light it
But we tried to fight it
Birth control, Ho Chi Minh, Richard Nixon back again
Moonshot, Woodstock, Watergate, punk rock
Begin, Reagan, Palestine, terror on the airline
Ayatollah's in Iran, Russians in Afghanistan
"Wheel of Fortune", Sally Ride, heavy metal, suicide
Foreign debts, homeless vets, AIDS, crack, Bernie Goetz
Hypodermics on the shores, China's under martial law
Rock and roller cola wars, I can't take it anymore
We didn't start the fire
It was always burning
Since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
But when we are gone
Will it still burn on, and on, and on, and on
We didn't start the fire
It was always burning
Since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No we didn't light it
But we tried to fight it
We didn't start the fire
It was always burning
Since the world's been turning

I used to sing this in my history class all the time

My teacher really loved me...

I've never dreaded a game more than this one. I'll plan to do something else Mon night. It just feels like an inevitable drubbing. I just feel McDermott is clueless. Another nationally televised embarrassment, etc.

Hope that's not the case but don't think anyone could convince me otherwise.

You’ve never dreaded a game more than the 4-1 Bills hosting the 4-1 Super Bowl champions on MNF?

Forgive me, but 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Just stop.

Isn’t that sort of like Tigger saying that thing to Eeyore?

Me, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have qualms, but either we are who McDermott says we are, a resilient football team who got knocked down but will get up again and come back better, or we aren’t.  We’ll find out.

You’re really not going to watch the game?

While, I no longer throw TV remotes against the wall like I did when I was younger (I actually use to have multiple cheap universal remotes on hand during Bills games), I still get quite angry when I see ineptitude + coaching arrogance on display. It's super frustrating for me, and McDermott seriously rubs me the wrong way. As I have gotten older, I have made an effort to avoid that which makes me angry. Allen's improvement this season had helped, but no, I think I should pass on this one for my blood pressures sake. I have OCD and have a hard time watching people fail.

there must be something I’m not understanding...you’re dreading a game that you aren’t even going to watch?

Oh, I should also mention the gameday threads while fun, add a lot of stress.

Gene, you've had a negative schtick since you've joined.  Every single one of your posts are like reading an emo pre-teen's diary.

Hmm, maybe it's an age thing but thought I only said it once.

I hate to say this but brother you might have something else going on.

Every single one? I highly doubt that... As normally I'm trying to bring comedic relief.

I'm starting to think about this is a Seinfeld episode.  The one where George told Jerry to stop being funny because his Asian girlfriend laughs at his jokes.

So then Jerry becomes all doom and gloom....and she still thinks he's funny.   So are you doom and gloom Jerry?

Who you kidding.  Youll be watching the game like everyone else.  I never understand why people feel the need to declare they wont be watching the game or they are shutting it off at some point etc.  Nobody cares.  If you don't want to watch it or you want to shut it off then just do it.

Nah, it's a sports thing...

I got you I’ve been a bills fan for 30 years and I really understand how they can make one fill but I will say this I’m pumped about Allen if we can get this D going next year we will be a serious contender. I always knew this year was about Allen and even if he shined we were a year away

We all saw what they saw, there is nothing they can say, they are just trying to get through their media obligation and move on the KC

Yep. Like these guys even want to talk to the media. They are just trying to get through it without giving anything away to their opponent or saying anything stupid. They want to get back to their real jobs which is to win football games.

The GDT is not for the weak of heart. I agree if you get stressed during the game, avoid that for sure.

Look at it this way.... do you “expect” the Bills to win the SB this year? If not, just watch and have fun. They will win more games and they will lose more games. Hopefully they get into the playoffs again and from there anything can happen.

Hmm, see I question the "great team" thing, with the way the defense is playing.

At this point they are a good team that played a really bad game. They have only played 5 games - I typically think you find out what kind of team you have in the month of November. I mean if you can’t handle watching the game it’s ok. I just can’t imagine voluntarily not watching. Are you a fan of a college team by any chance? that is so much more stressful. They HAVE to win every game or no playoffs.
