djp14150 Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 (edited) Week 11 on bye. Both bills and jets on bye that week. So play week 7 game in week 12. week 7 fit titans game in by shifting other games. sun-thu-tue-sun for example other option is wait till week 12 and play on thurs or Tuesday. Titans already playing Steelers in week 7 man. The possibilities are a. Extend season by at least a week b. Play Monday / Tuesday if Titans are deemed safe and move the TNF game c. Kirby Jackson Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 Just make the Titans forfeit and move on. They are the superspreaders of the NFL. 5 4
Just Joshin' Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 If the Titans do not have an open week not sure how this works.

This is the mistake MLB made with the Marlins. They should have just forfeited any game they couldn't field a team for. I hope the NFL learns from the MLB's mistakes. 2
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 Sorry— but the titans need to just go away now. They have ruined two weeks. I don’t see any other teams having an issue with the protocols. I say the titans take a forfeit of both this game and the Steelers game, and then maybe they can start following the protocols. 2
Brennan Huff Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 Extend the season by a week. It’s really not that hard 1
NewEra Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 (edited) if they can’t play this week -Cancel or forfeit this game. -add additional weeks at the end of the season to play makeup games -pause the season and come up with plan b. only 3 options imo Edited October 7, 2020 by NewEra

Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 Maybe the move the KC game to Monday the 19th and make it another doubleheader. We have a bye the following Sunday anyway!!

More and more players on different teams are testing positive. Gilmore for example is the latest and he was hugging Gilmore after the game on Monday. You can't keep shifting games around since it looks like more teams will be impacted over the course of the season. Simple solution if you run out of players to field a team then you forfeit. Teams who's players are staying safe should not have change game prep etc. for teams that aren't.
TigerJ Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 If the Titans can't play on Sunday, all the schedule adjustments the Bills could make won't help them play the Titans later in the season, since the Titans had their adjusted bye week this past Sunday. The league can either extend the season, give the Bills a win in a forfeiture by the Titans or just cancel the game and use winning percentages rather than number of wins and losses in determining playoff seedings. The latter is at least potentially unfair to the Bills if they would have won the Titans game.

If the Titans or any other teams are proven to have broken league protocols they should face penalties. This includes forfeiting games and if the outbreak keeps spreading maybe all the way to shutting them down for the season. It seems unreasonable to expect every other team on their schedule to be inconvenienced or forced to accommodate their recklessness and disregard for the rules established and agreed to by the teams.
