Please tightly restrict conversation in this thread to football and football-relevant matters.

Two Bills Drive no longer finds it appropriate to engage in COVID-19 discussion in our main discussion areas. (This includes your opinion about the incubation/infectious period, interval before a positive test, and infection control measures the NFL should employ, and this means YOU.) We are a Buffalo Bills fan community and we exist to serve fans of the Buffalo Bills and the NFL. Please use other communities and venues to discuss heath-related topics including COVID-19.

Information about COVID-19 is available from many globally respected sources including:

Uptodate     |  British Medical Journal Best Practice   |      COVIPENDIUM    |    Our world in Data

The pinned topic: COVID-19 - Facts and Information Only Topic, located on the Off the Wall subforum, is also a resource.   Should these not meet your needs, many other sources of information (of varied accuracy) exist.

Thank you!

Quick! Everyone panic!

What do you consider panicking?

Seems like a fairly normal reaction, hardly a panic. Yet.

Problem is the general thinking is the Titans got their COVID _after_ the game was long over.

If the Bills get sick, they should take half the Raiders' draft picks - SO STUPID

Titans positive tests (plural) of those who traveled to Minnesota came back Tuesday of last week as well.

If the Bills are asked to evacuate their facility, we will know more. This was the situation with the Vikes last Tuesday after Monday’s round of tests with the titans turned up positives ...

As far as we know, that has not occurred here. The timing is the same - added to list on Tuesday. Keep in mind that players aren’t tested on Gameday.  This could mean he did not actually test positive after the Monday test or, no close contacts were identified through tracing.

Your Attention Please:

In case you missed @SDS pinned note about covid-19 discussion in the main forum, there's now a message at the header of this thread.

Please tightly restrict discussion in this thread to football and football impacts.  Please consult the links in that message for vetted covid-19 information.

Please do not RESPOND to people who are doing so.

Discussions of immunity, exposure period, incubation period, the design of NFL testing, cycle thresholds and etc has been hidden and a few persistant people warned, but I will never get back those minutes of my life so please, some self control here gentlemen.

The NFL is hoping this wasn’t spread to any Bills. They will have a headache on their hands if the Bills have an issue and can’t play in Tennessee. (If the Raiders player tested positive)

But if it’s just one Raider I am not really worried.

No

Ok reserving my concern until a report he tested positive or Bills told to self isolate like Vikings.

Goodell came out with some harsh statements concerning penalties regarding players/teams this week. Like others have brought up, maybe this player just had contact with someone that had Covid and the Rayduhs don’t want to be his test rat.

A source close to the organization said the sample collected from Hurst on Monday came back positive for COVID-19.

The process is underway of contact tracing those who have been in close proximity to Hurst. Those players will then be administered Point of Care tests.

Hurst becomes the first member of the team to be placed on the list during the regular season.

Im watching the game replay right now, looking to see who he was in close contact with. My wife's work just got shut down because of one person acting stupid and going to a party. They basically had to shut down sales and customer service because 4 people tested positive just because of one dummy.
