Sad news.  VH may not have been my favorite band, but he was an excellent guitarist.

 

Sad on many levels.  The worst being we are holding on to bands from the 70’s and 80’s like we are.  No newer bands playing that type of music any longer.

Heard this on Schoop and the Bulldog this afternoon.  Had the same reaction as Bulldog "What?"

 

Gave a lot of great music and redefined tones.  But for all of that, its incredibly telling of him as a person by how much his son appeared to love him.

 

Well done EVH.  Hope youre in a place with no more pain.

Check out Greta Van Fleet. Saw them live, having never heard a lick of their stuff, last summer. Incredible kids, from Frankenmuth.

Definitely very sad. Eddie will be missed. He left a lot of excellence for us to remember him by.

Van Halen was the soundtrack to my adolescent life in the 1980's  RIP and thank you for all of the music and memories
