That's actually questionable. Given how much of his worth is tied directly to his name via licensing fees, it quite possible he's been hurt more than benefited. I wouldn't be surprised if his presidency cost him hundreds of millions, ultimately.

This country has been in a decline since Trump took office and it won't get better no matter which one wins. Trump had his chance and failed, now he is crazy for more power and will destroy the American people (Democrat/Republican) to get what he wants. Edited October 7, 2020 by TBBills

It's going to to be a long time to undo Trump’s damage. Even you're own silly language about 'hitching your wagon' is disingenuous crap. Trump was an easy choice of the most corrupt and hypocritical candidate in history four years ago, and he's the easy choice again over a guy who will be in a memory care unit at the end of the next Presidential term. And of course....we notice there is never, ever, any discussion of actual policy. And it is there that Trump has been a pleasant surprise. Why vote for Trump? Easy. If he gets four more years to shape the judiciary, it just might save our country from the destruction that the far left intends to bring next chance they get. 1 1

Trump has appointed almost 1/3 of active appeals court justices in ONE term and is on the verge of getting a 3rd SCOTUS justice. And guess how many of all of them aren’t white. These are Federalist Society asssholes.

However, I think you and others are conflating "mandate to govern" with micromanagement. He will surround himself with people he trusts to implement his policies in his cabinet. He would still be governing by doing that. No, what I’m getting at is the fact that people are voting for Biden as anyone but Trump. Biden has a platform on his website, but he won’t commit to an environmental plan. He won’t commit to anything other than a public option for healthcare. He won’t commit to not packing the Court. If nobody knows what he actually stands for then what are they voting for him to actually do? Then once he’s in and does stuff, where’s the public support for it? That’s not a mandate. You describe the power of the office, but power comes from the governed, it isn’t foisted upon us.

If he gets four more years to shape the judiciary, it just might save our country from the destruction that the far left intends to bring next chance they get. I've talked policy and Trump. I've expressed all my grievances about them. I quickly tried to search for my post in my interaction earlier this year with @Buffalo_Gal but had no luck after a few minutes and I'm about to enjoy my beer while I read my book sitting outside in my favorite chair. Maybe she'll help you find the post if you can't. Yes I hate Trump the person. I also hate him as our Commander-in-Chief. And the bungling of the Pandemic is just the latest, most grievous example. And no. 215 thousand people wouldn't have died if just about anyone was President. That's the endless defense coming from his cult while widespread reporting since the beginning of the Pandemic (and before it hit our shores) has emphasized many instances of him bungling it--another longer conversation with another poster in the Pandemic thread you can go look for... but heck take Trump’s own tape recorded words with Woodward where he openly admits he wants to downplay the virus... if you think him doing that hasn't influenced people and cost American lives, you're truly lost. Oh I know I know I know... "you believe MSM?!?! Bwahahaha!!!" And that's your problem on this message board. You believe you're you're own best information gatherers, even when you gather that "information" randomly from some dude on Twitter. Well, rather than bicker with someone this wildly set in his perception of a terrible President, I am going to read my book and enjoy my beer. Good evening, sir

"Allow individuals to use Health Savings Accounts (HSAs). Contributions into HSAs should be tax-free and should be allowed to accumulate." “I’m not going to cut Social Security like every other Republican and I’m not going to cut Medicare or Medicaid.” “We're bringing it (the GDP) from 1 percent up to 4 percent. And I actually think we can go higher than 4 percent. I think you can go to 5 percent or 6 percent.” “We can provide six weeks of paid maternity leave to any mother with a newborn child whose employer does not provide the benefit.” “The insurance companies are getting rich off health care and health insurance and everything having to do with health. We’re going to end that. We’re going to take out the artificial boundaries, the artificial lines. We’re going to get a plan where people compete, free enterprise.” “This deal if I win will be a totally different deal. This will be a totally different deal.” (this is about the Iran deal... nothing has happened, so yeah,, different deal because no deal) "I would build a great wall, and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me, and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great great wall on our southern border and I’ll have Mexico pay for that wall." “We will build an active army around 540,000 as the army’s Chief of Staff has said he needs desperately and really must have to protect our country.” "We’ve got to get rid of the $19 trillion in debt. ... Well, I would say over a period of eight years. And I’ll tell you why.” "Allow individuals to fully deduct health insurance premium payments from their tax returns under the current tax system." "It can be done. ... It will take place and it will go relatively quickly. ... If you have the right people, like, in the agencies and the various people that do the balancing ... you can cut the numbers by two pennies and three pennies and balance a budget quickly and have a stronger and better country." (About balancing the budget) "As part of this reform, we will eliminate the carried interest deduction and other special interest loopholes that have been so good for Wall Street investors, and for people like me, but unfair to American workers." "The 3.8 percent Obamacare tax on investment income will be repealed, as will the alternative minimum tax." "The Trump Plan will collapse the current seven tax brackets to three brackets."

I don't know enough about the process as far as environmental impact goes even with strict regulations. Pennsylvania has done well with it and I don't know of any major environmental impact issues. PA income tax rate is 3.07% versus NY's top rate of 9.5%. Sales tax is 6% versus NY's 7-8.875% rates. Yes they pay a local tax of 1-1.75% which goes to school districts and helps to mitigate property taxes. At least your property taxes are somewhat indexed to your income.Any PA posters can correct me as necessary. 1
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 I have a few good reasons First and foremost - Don has lost his mind. (more than usual) He says something stupid one day then "backs off" (aka Flip Flops) slash clarifies his statement a day later after being called out. It's too late by then - the damage is done. Trump shared wild conspiracy theories, insulted political rivals, made accusations about voting and attacked the media. He also ripped his own Food and Drug Administration, “scum” at the FBI and the “pathetic” CIA. The meds he is being given for his coronavirus could have some serious side effects, including psychosis, mania and delirium. Don't let Covid run your life? After Don tweeted SpaceForce VOTE!!! His own son wants to hold a family intervention! Who stands in the rotor wash of a helicopter w/o a mask when one is contagious? There was no one within 6 feet? How far does the respiratory droplets fly then? Well it was actually 1 with multiple examples

None of what I said was about Trump’s achievements or lack thereof, or intended to be so. None of it. And you actually add to my point. At least Trump, and every other candidate for President I’ve ever seen, has said what they would do in office. Whether they got their platform accomplished is not the issue. I’m talking about going into office with a clear picture of what a President wants to do. I’m talking about voters agreeing with those policies and voting because of those policies. Without that — and coupled with “he’s not that guy”, I’m asking whether Biden actually has a mandate to govern? I say he wouldn’t. I also recognize that voters like you don’t seem to be bothered by this. 1
