It works well to keep the myopic part of society in check. It keeps them from getting sidetracked and it takes the focus off the guy who cant get out a complete thought without a teleprompter or audio transmitter. Imagine if people judged the candidates on what they bring to the table? That would be a DNC disaster. He really is just terrible. If you are that bad a judge of character then I feel bad for you and it really makes me happy your side is losing. We need people that can see a horse is a horse and not blind ourselves with hate. The DNC is doing a great job and I like winners. 1

So, YES, my taxes went up, not down, under Trump. Why are you arguing with me? You are the one choosing to live in a state that taxes you so much that you don't fall under the normal federal guidelines for federal taxes. Your state has chosen to go down the road that is making California uninhabitable. The people in your state actually have voted for high taxation and policies like the Delta Smelt over agriculture and to not trim branches around electrical lines. The voters in California are to blame and regardless of your conservative beliefs, you are a California voter.
Backintheday544 Posted October 12, 2020 Posted October 12, 2020 Another reason to vote for Biden is Trump's hiring practices. He promised to bring on only the best people. However, he's had to fire a ton of people and shortly after firing them bashes how unqualified they are. So we have: 1. Trump is hiring incompetent people, which is terrible for the country 2. Trump lied to us when promising to hire only the best

It is not the president's job to allow others to make the important decisions. The President's job is to listen to all pertinent views and to make a decision based on what's best for the country. It is amusing to me that you don't say a word about Leader Pelosi who is running rough shod over the House of Representatives (at the peril of our economy) in order to attach socialistic goals to a relief bill, but accuse Trump of abusing his power by doing his job. 1

I do believe Bidens mental capacity is diminished similar to Trump. It happens with old age, but hope Biden will not use that hiring policy. Edited October 12, 2020 by Backintheday544

Trump was naive regarding the extent of opposition he would receive from his own hirings. Nothing I've stated here indicates that he wanted "yes men" (or yes women). You're simply making that up. Yes, Biden's mental capacity is greatly diminished and that's pretty sad since he wasn't all that intelligent in the first place. To try to put Trump in that same place is ignorant.

Michael Lewis explained it very well in this under-the-radar (because it has none of the salacious details of the other Trump Administration exposes) book, excerpted here: https://www.theguardian.com/news/2018/sep/27/this-guy-doesnt-know-anything-the-inside-story-of-trumps-shambolic-transition-team And it got much, much worse as the steady hands in key roles -- remember "My Generals?" -- were dismissed in favor of butt-kissing hacks. 1

So he hired the best, but the best didn’t want to work for him because of his policies? Wouldn’t discussing policies be pretty important before Trump hired these people? It is pretty easy to avoid miscalculation if you ask basic questions.

Read the excerpt of The Fifth Risk and you'll understand: https://www.theguardian.com/news/2018/sep/27/this-guy-doesnt-know-anything-the-inside-story-of-trumps-shambolic-transition-team Basically it was a Trump Organization takeover of the federal government, with Jared, Ivanka, and Don Jr. in charge of every key decision early on, and a President-Elect who really didn't have any interest in policy or running the government. Remember: Trump declared as a 2020 candidate on his inauguration day. That was unprecedented. He loves campaigning. Governing? Not so much.

Trump imposed tariffs that have done nothing of lasting consequence. Mitch McConnell ushered through many judges and a couple (soon 3) Supreme Court justices. The Fed continued to print money like it's going out of style and even started buying junk bonds of failing corporations.

Is it Joe Bidens fault Trump has stirred up so much animosity between parties Pelosi refuses to do anything that could help Donald Trump get re - elected? Doing his job would be getting everyone on board to wear a mask. Practice social distancing. Following the science that is telling us these simple procedures could save countless lives. I'm not rooting for a lackey. I'm rooting for a leader and country that can stand united in the face of adversity and uncertainty.. With all due respect my friend this is something Donald Trump is not capable of accomplishing in my humble opinion.

The Fed continued to print money like it's going out of style and even started buying junk bonds of failing corporations. So, now Jared Kushner has some value? That ME deal came about because Trump's policies reset the dynamics of the entire ME. The repudiation of the Iran deal was/is very popular amongst nearly all of the players there. It allowed us to broker the first of many similar deals because we didn't have to get the approval of any deal from the Palestinians first. Pretty hard to get a deal when the party you are trying to get a deal with is against any deal whatsoever. It's sort of like Leader Pelosi refusing to deal on a virus economic plan by including provisions in her version that are totally unacceptable to not only the Right but to the vast majority of the country's population. I'm sorry that you can't see the benefits of the tariffs and how they enabled the adoption of trade deals more fair to the U.S. So, Trump had nothing to do with judges or the appointment of justices? What about the rebuilding of our military and the establishment of the Space Force. How about the progress on The Wall? What about the streamlining of regulations and the fantastic economy including higher wage growth that the President ushered in? What about the countless lives he saved by bucking popular beliefs and shutting down travel from China and Europe while his political opponents were not only ridiculing him for it but encouraging people to flaunt the guidelines in San Francisco's Chinatown and in NYC? Trump was able to pass prison reform, something that predecessors couldn't or wouldn't do. I'd continue but citing all of his accomplishment is getting tiring. I need to rest.
