CorkScrewHill Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 When Milano went out, Tyrel came in and not AJ. AJ has been pretty invisible though he was the person burned on the Jason Witten TD. AJ is still listed as the starter but had only 8 snaps while Dodson had 19. I suspect AJ will be one and done in Buffalo. 1
H2o Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 Klein is visibly slower than any other person on the field outside of the DL and even some of those guys look faster. He's a liability at this point. Playing Dodson is the right move. 6
TigerJ Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 Deservedly so, and that's not saying Dodson is very good. 1
badassgixxer05 Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 I remember sceaming at the tv twice on big plays and it was Klien in coverage. The less he is on the field the better. Id rather see another db out there in his spot. 4
RoyBatty is alive Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 I agree. That Witten TD was far too easy to execute. AJ is or should be one and done with the Bills. Klein is 29 and i cant imagine he has much room to improve while Dodson is only 22 and has a long way to go.

DrDawkinstein Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 Klein came in for a bit, but was so bad he got benched for Dodson, who did much better. Klein is def not the answer there.
Giuseppe Tognarelli Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 Why the hell did we give this guy a 3-year, $18M contract? Just insane. 2

It is 9.7 million guaranteed, but after this year I believe we only have a $3.2 million dollar hit if we move on. Maybe he is injured or something, but this does not seem to be working. 1

They can walk away Next year with a 2.4M Cap Savings, if they can get some more athletic Rookie LBers. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/aj-klein-12429/
wvbillsfan Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 Dodson not Klein is the guy that will replace Milano next year. Can’t pay everyone unless your the Chiefs or Saints I guess. 1 1
TN Bills Fan Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 They need to draft a MLB and move Edmunds to the outside. Edmunds gets pushed around inside and can't disengage blockers. Plays upright and looses leverage. His body type is wrong for the position. 1
Rochesterfan Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 I just don’t think he is a good fit on the outside anymore. He is to slow in coverage and I think you are seeing him replaced outside with Dodson. Maybe he is more suited to the MLB position at this point. We will see once DelShawn gets back - if he and Dodson are ok on the outside - I could see Klein deactivated and let go in the off season. 1

He's a huge liability at this point. 1

Bad part is in this defense the MLB is in coverage. A lot. 1

Maybe with some more time he can improve that and at least be serviceable when he is called on to play. In the meantime Dodson has a good chance to keep improving!

He definitely doesn't have the recovery speed if he takes a misstep.
