Having quietly watched the situation and read about the positives/exposures/infections, I am not confident that the Titans are even close to being able to host others without passing the virus on. I would like to see McDermott and Beane tell the NFL that the Bills are refusing to go to Tenessee at this time. Honestly, I believe that would be a strong leadership act. Buffalo's facility is (as far as testing has shown) clean, so far. If ONE member of our organization, player or coach, gets infected in Tenessee, the entire Bills organization will be challenged to get past it for a month - or more. I think it is time for the Bills organization to face the NFL and firmly say, "enough is enough, we're not doing this."

YEP!!! Great post

Reminds me of Jaws. " It's completely under control. As you can see, it's a beautiful day, the beaches are open, and people are having a wonderful time."

Or this

Interesting on how the NFL is proceeding with the COVID problem.  Bills vs Titans game, they are trying desperately to get it played while NE vs Denver is pushed ton next weekend.  Miami vs NE gets postponed.  Smacks of favoritism for NE.  I am shocked!  (sarcasm alert).

I think it's as much because the Titans have already 'lost' their bye week, and the Patsies actually got their game played before. The scenario atm, is that if the Titans game can't go on, they are probably looking to have to play that game in a week 18.

In this instance, I don't think it's due to any favoritism to the Patsies, it's simply a function of the NFL wanting to keep the regular season games confined within the 'normal' 17 week period.

That's a pretty tight tightrope to start walking in week 5.

Yeah, as frustrating as this situation is, I understand why the league is having a hard time deciding what to do with this game.  They obviously should have had better contingency plans in place, but given that they didn't they now have a tough situation on their hands.

we refuse without the nfl decision we by default forfit. things just are not that easy

I think if the Buffalo Bills made a statement with full rationale as to why they think their premise is valid with proof this puts the onus on the NFL ...effectively amping up the pressure for  them to what I call "do the right thing" and postpone this game. Coming from the Bills  a statement would be an extremely squeaky wheel they just may be force the NFL to grease or face huge lawsuits if Bills become infected. Would the Bills do it I just don't know.

Hopefully this is going on behind the scenes. This has to be the last straw, right?

New rumor I’m hearing from a completely unreliable source (a friend who knows someone at FoxSports): Vrabel tested positive.

I highly doubt it was him.  If it was, the game would have been postponed already.

This is the right approach IMO and I would fully support it. If they want to consider it the Bills forfeiting then sobeit. I'm sure I'll get beat down here but would rather be a healthy 4-1 team than a sick 5-0 team coming up to the Pats in a few weeks which is one of our most important games coming up.

I'm with you I think.  The "I think" part is if I had all the information in front of me I might believe it could be done safely.

But based on the scattershot positive testing indicating widespread (and maybe continuing) exposure, I'm like "yeah, take the L"

I took all my Bills out. But now I'm leaning the other way. Tough predicament.
