Moving the Super Bowl back is no easy task, it takes cities years to prepare for the big game, think about it if you were to change a wedding date and how out of towners would be put through a loop but instead of impacting maybe 20-60 people you're impacting over 50,000 people. As it impact hotels in the area, businesses that also work in conjunction with the Super Bowl for transportation etc.

Actually - the NFL planned for this and have already made an agreement with the city and the stadium for every Sunday in February- giving them up to and additional 4 weeks of fall back dates if needed.

The limited Fans they were planning to allow and limited press made it significantly easier this year to do that.

you know typos and auto corrections happens...

Titans players practiced when they were not supposed to. period.

I Get It.  But I think our player interviews after practice today showed a good attitude.

We control what we control.

Other teams do their thing - we hope they're the right thing but all sorts of things happen.

In the slow grinding fullness of time, the NFL will eventually decide on discipline for the Titans, but IMO it will not involve forfeiting the game this Sunday, not for something that took place before the forfeit sanction was announced as a possible punishment.  The NFL just isn't nimble and decisive like that, nor is it retroactive.

Meanwhile, either no more Titans players test positive tomorrow  and Friday and they get into the facility and we might play

OR

Players continue to test positive and the NFL will have to figure out an alternative plan for the game.

Nothing to see here until then.

how can we possibly play a game sunday and know we are safe?

because the titans practiced when they should not have among other things they did against covid policies both games against steelers and bills should be fortified

didnt it say somewhere that if any of them tested positive the game would be suspended?

We just played a team with a dude who turned up COVID positive the next day...  Not really going to be “safe” any game of the year.  Just have to do the best we can.

Suspend the players that were at the practice for 2 games a piece.  Forfeit a 3rd rounder.  Fine the Organization $3 million.  Fine each player $200k

If another players tests positive between now and gameday, they forfeit the game as well.

Long thread here but has anyone mentioned the irony that it was a former Bill, Greg Mabin, who appears to have been the Titans’ Patient Zero?

If the Titans flouted safety protocols then they absolutely deserve to forfeit the game.

Teams don't care about fines. Draft picks hurt a bit. But start costing the team games and this behavior will stop.

Look at it this way: the Bills were going to win anyway, so this way the Titans are punished and a message is sent, nobody gets injured, and the outcome is the same. And we're all rested for KC.

Considering this guy is on Covid/IR now it'd be some irony if he was there.

If you start forfeiting games because of broken safety protocols I think a whole new can of worms gets opened up.   The legitimacy of a championship starts getting put into question IMO. Costly fines, draft picks, to me this is a better way to get serious IMO.

I hope the league drops the hammer on these clowns.

Other teams players and families shouldn't be put at risk, because of their stupid behavior.

At the very minimum,  they should be made to forfeit the game.
