So what if Bass can make a 58-yarder if he is all over the place on XPs?

Bass May be great in 2 years, but we need someone who is solid and reliable now.

"All over the place?" You do realize that was his first missed XP this year, right? He's missed two field goals of which one of them may or may not have been actually missed.

The team is 4-0. Every kicker was a rookie at some point. Your take to dump the kicker because maybe the guy might cost the team at some point, based on sheer pessimism and  a PFF-style analysis to magnify every wart and diminish every success, is a bad take. Then next year you're doing it all over again with another draft pick or street FA or college detritus.

4-0 is great, onto the Titans. Wins vs Las Vegas and the Titians help vs wild card teams in case of tie breakers.

Team needs to learn how to close out games, they are learning how to win.

Been up multiple TD's in almost every game, but two have come down to onsides kicks.

C. Bojorquez needs to learn how to push laces out. The XP miss clearly shows laces to the right.

Defense was sparked by plays from Jefferson, Oliver, Norman, Milano. Too bunched up early.

Tre Edmunds is a terrible MLB.

Thank god the offense with Allen, Diggs, Brown, Beasley, Davis, Kroft, Knox and Singletary bailed them out again. Depth at OL helped.

Defense is missing Lawson, Phillips and Star. The replacements are avg at best (Addison excluded)

Bring in Snacks, like Liuget last year. People laughed at me thinking Liuget wouldn't be missed. He was a run stuffing machine.

Losing Liuget and Star is too much. Bring in Liuget or Snacks to help the D-line, the Bills need a true 1 technique guy.

Cmon. Plays like that can lose games - see Atlanta SuperBowl. It is one blemish on an otherwise great game. But it is reasonable for the fan base to go nuts on such a play becuae it is 100% mental and 100% avoidable .

In the Atlanta SB there were 17 plays like that in a row. He had the one.

I know someone posted it up thread, but one of my favorite things today was the Josh Norman quote about when Coach said someone needed to make a play he said to himself: “I’ll do that.” “I’ll go make a play.”

Love that so much!

Pay no attention.  This is the same guy who felt compelled after today’s game to start a thread about what’s wrong with the Bills defense.  Ignore the trolls.

he’s missed 2 FGs of under 40 yards and now

an XP.

the reality is few rookie kickers work out right away.  Most of them bounce around for a few years, and then flame out or figure it out. For a team that is going to be contending, I see no great reason for us to roll the dice on a rookie kicker. At a minimum, he needs to be on a short leash.

Can you tell us who would be better?

You can only wait till a young kicker flops and fails with somebody else, and then and only then are they worthy of giving a chance to?

no— but it is a risk. It’s a much higher risk because we are contending this year. If this were a rebuilding type year, I would say— absolutely, go for it. But if I were the GM

of this team, I would be looking for a veteran I can trust. Maybe not a guy who can make 55-yard bombs. But someone who is reliable under pressure from under 50 and has experience making pressure kicks.

you have to admit that Bass is not inspiring confidence thus far. I don’t know if McDermott would feel comfortable sending him out now for a long FG attempt, let alone a GW FG attempt.

They either need to drill this into him, or have Barkley hold for Bass.  This is the second time now that he's done that, his track record as a holder with that incorrect fake field goal call a few years ago isn't awesome.

The emotional instability of a large number of fans here is insane.

Yes. Alot of PTSD from year after year of Billsy performances.

I have it too. But it's very clear this is a completely different team than we've seen in 25 years!

Hope the 2nd half was a bit of a turning point for this defense.

4-0 . All alone on top of the AFC!!!

I like this trend... Any other new stadiums coming soon?

and they can never take this away. Case in point, I Still hate Herb Mul-key!🤬

Defense stepped up in the second half

not sure we win without all those turnovers. Offense wet the bed in the second half.

Yes, a 13 pt 2nd half after a 17 pt 1st Half is huge cause for concern -for a bed wetter, anyway..

The D did get a couple turnovers in the 4th so have to give credit there but man they give up a lot of easy yards and generally are not playing well with a lead.

Agreed and it’s definitely unsettling. If we’re going to allow receivers to run wild in our Secondary, we might as well blitz more and try to stop the pass.

Diggs got the 1st down there but was marked 2 yards short

I thought so too. Difficult from tv, but he stretched the ball upfield as he was going OOB. Tried to show it -hard.😂 Refs hosed us again as Brown’s catch was clearly in the endzone 🤬

Not understanding all the hate for Bass. Haven’t since it began. What’s dramatically different so far this season is the Offense putting up 30 pts/game. No, he’s hasn’t been perfect, but I think he’s going to fine and reliable when it counts most. He has ‘Want To!’ like many of his teammates. Raidahs score on the KR if he doesn’t make the play.
