A good way to compare and contrast leading to a decent analysis of Sam and his abilities. If Flacco looks better than Sam on that dumpster fire of a team, Sam is gone. To Chicago

Interesting point. I think of that game as an epic display of offensive ineptitude leading to Josh Allen being thrown to the wolves late in the 3rd Q. But looking back, it's a valid point that Baltimore went TD, TD, punt, FG on their 3 possessions without help from turnovers (they did get a 51 yd return on the FG) So one could say that the D put us in a 17 point hole right off the bat with no offensive assistance, since the D shouldn't be gassed that quickly in the game. Flacco had something to do with that, but as the season wore down, so did he resulting in being benched for Lamar. And he hasn't been the same since. That was Then, This is Now.

Did the shift in Flacco happen when Kiko tried murdering him on national television? I don’t think Flacco improves the jets, but I would rather face Darnold. He’s so useless against our defense.

Others would say it's just one hit in 2017 and Flacco played some competent to good games the rest of 2017 and early in 2018 before falling off. 1

Don Otreply Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 The jets are an incredibly poorly run operation, they have set up two highly drafted players to be injured, amongst their other really bad personnel issues, that tire fire gif is needed about now... 1
IDBillzFan Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 The upsides to sitting Darnold are (1) Flacco actually gives them a better chance of at least winning a few games to keep out of the first draft pick and (2) it justifies the Jets keeping Gase around another year since he couldn't really show his stuff with his franchise QB on the bench. Josh learned a lot sitting because of an injury, and you could argue that Darnold will do the same. In fact, I would argue it's imperative the Jets give Gase and Darnold another year together, just to make sure they are given every chance to succeed. I'd even sign Gase to a long-term deal to ensure he goes forward with confidence. They just need more time together and everything will work out.
C.Biscuit97 Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 Good job Jets. Way to ruin a QB. I know they are a “rival” but it is complete garbage what they have done to Darnold. Would any player on their offense play on our team? What a garbage franchise. 1

Will be interesting to see if he plays vs bills in 3 weeks or if we get Flacco I thought he broke his shoulder and/or collar bone. Troy Aikman immediately predicted a broken collar bone, based on his own experience. It looked painful!

TigerJ Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 4 hours ago, Inigo Montoya said: Gase is catching a bunch of crap for putting Becton in the game with an injured shoulder and Becton didn't even last a series before re-injuring the shoulder. That followed the Le"Veon Bell hamstring mismanagement. Gase simply can't put an injured Darnold out there behind that sieve of an O-Line. From a purely Machiavellian point of view, Gase will think about this situation and realize that he is going to lose the next 5 games no matter who is under center (Cardinals, Chargers, Bills, Chiefs, Patriots) and he is going to be staring at 0-9. If Darnold is hurt and he has to play his backup QB Gase can always say, "Yes, we just lost 9 games in a row, but we played the last 5 games with our backup QB in there. Not my fault." Gase is the anti-McDermott. Gase will throw everyone around him under the bus to protect his own ass. How many times have we seen that in post game pressers? The only coach in the NFL I dislike more than Adam Gase is Gregg Williams. I'm a Bills fan and I'd ordinarily love to watch the Jets burn to the ground, but Adam Gase and Gregg Williams are such terrible human beings I can't wait to watch both of them get fired. I don't think either of them will ever sniff an NFL job again. I still remember Gase deciding after a couple miserable years at Miami that he was going to institute a culture change within the Dolphins organization. When the core of the apple is rotten, and Gase is the core, you're not going to fix the rest of the apple.

Let them ruin another young QB. At this point you hope he’s got someone in his ear telling him to just ride out his contract, go somewhere else as a backup, and hope to get a second shot as a starter down the road.
GoBills808 Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 He put the poor bastard back in after injury on THIRD AND 5 😂😂😂

Probably a good chance a team will need a bridge and he would get a good shot to start on another team. I agree he is best served going somewhere else.
