I've been pondering the upcoming schedule a while now, and while this team is pretty much where I expected them to be through the first 6 games there is serious concern about how they may fare the rest of the way with many more TEN/KC type of teams and games left. And if the defense continues to be horrendous and Allen is regressing to the same guy we saw the first few years this could certainly be 2008/2011 all over again.

So this is my take and curious what others believe will happen:

@ Jets - W, 5-2

As bad as things are right now pretty sure this team will not struggle here but I certainly don't expect a 40-7 type of statement because that's not what McD teams do. If anything this will be one of his signature 27-17 type of 'blowouts' that we saw in week one.

Patriots - L, 5-3

As dire as things may look for the Patriots, Belichik is still lurking and knows they are only one game behind the Bills in the loss column as of today. I expect them to rebound against the 49ers this week and embarrass this team in a few weeks which is when the wheels truly begin to come off as McD falls to 0-7 vs the Pats and Belichik and the Bills time atop the AFC East likely ends for good this year.

Seahawks - L, 5-4

Another elite team up there with the Chiefs and Titans and even though their defense has also struggled we all know they'll look dominant against this team because that is the same story with the previous two weeks where a very poor defense on paper player their 'get on track' game against the Bills.

@ Cardinals - L, 5-5

Another week, another great QB and offense. Not sure the Cardinals are in the same weight class yet as some of the other teams the Bills face but unless things change drastically with the Bills defense they simply won't be able to keep up here with Weapons like Drake, Hopkins and Murray.

Bye

Chargers - W, 6-5

Desperate coming out of the bye the Bills end a 3 game losing streak and stay in the playoff picture and Allen leads a late 4th quarter comeback against a Chargers team that probably isn't playoff bound this year but has been a tough out and in every game this year so far.

@ 49ers - L, 6-6

Another tough primetime/west coast game that should be a close battle but the 49ers do enough to win to keep their season alive in a loaded division and conference and the we simply don't get it done in a game that was probably winnable.

Steelers - L, 6-7

This may very well be the best team in the AFC and they will send a message here not only effectively ending the Bills season but getting revenge for the Bills doing the same to them last year barely beating a team led by 'Duck' Hodges.

@ Broncos - W, 7-7

Denver will also likely be hanging on by a thread for any faint playoff hopes here but I could see this being the 'too little, too late' classic late season Bills dominant win (i.e. another McDermott 10 point margin of victory special).

@ Patriots - L, 7-8

Even if there is a faint chance the Bills could still make the playoffs and/or win the division here it's not happening especially if Belichik and the Patriots are in the drivers seat and I get the feeling they will be even if this is not the Patriots teams of years past.

Dolphins - L, 7-9

Whether they are in the playoff picture our not it will be another big blow to end the season realizing not only are their serious question marks about this franchise and current regime heading forward, bu the reality is they are going to behind both the Patriots and Dolphins in the division heading into the 2021 campaign, and oh by the way the Jets will likely be landing the next generational franchise QB with the #1 overall pick in Trevor Laurence.

But the Pats are 2 games behind us in the loss column.  They are not a good team.  They are average at best.  If the Bills think they are a good team, they beat them twice this year. Honestly I think the Dolphins are better than the Patriots right now.

Also, Kyler Murray is NOT a great QB. At all. Not even close.

Also, in a week to week league, why do you make assumptions the Bills of the last 2 weeks will show up instead of the Bills of the first 4 weeks? Why do you assume teams that are going good now won't hit rough patches similar to the Bills?

So you are taking the best of what the other teams have done and ignoring the worst while taking the worst of what the Bills have done and ignoring the best? Recency bias.

Bills will be just fine and will coast to the division title.

As much as it seems otherwise, the Bills are not an automatic win for our "better" opponents.  We came up small against the Titans and Chiefs.  The D is hemorrhaging and Allen looks hurt or confused.  No doubt, it looks bad.  But as always in the NFL, the Bills should win a couple games that they are not supposed to win,,,  they just need to keep from losing the games they should win!

I see two games that, currently, I don't give us much of a chance in... Seattle and Pittsburgh.

That can change if our defense find some semblance of ability and Josh/Offense get back on track.  He doesn't need to be an MVP candidate, but he can't be Chiefs Josh...that was shades of 2019 Baltimore/NE.

Its funny how we had this convo 5 weeks ago. There was a thread on here discussing the next 4 games: Rams, Raiders, Ten, and Chiefs. We went 2-2 during that tough stretch.

You have us losing 2x vs the Patriots and against the Dolphins, not to mention every other toss up game. Tell us how you really feel.

I'm kind of grumpy about last night's game too, but honestly our Ws and Ls have gone exactly as I thought they were going to go so far.  I originally had us finishing 10-6, but now I'm leaning more toward 11-5 because I had us losing to SF and that one doesn't look so unwinnable now.

Lol, we aren't getting swept by the Pats, nor are we dropping 3 straight.

We are coming off of two losses against the top two teams in the AFC, including the SB Champions.

Im disappointed, but no where near in the panic mode, or the "reality" you are in.

I'll panic if we get beat by Gase and the winless Jets.

This is realistic, but of course you're getting flamed for being a realist on this board.

Two losses against the Patriots but a win over the Broncos ... who just beat the Patriots?

Yes. That's not how it works.

Sorry but you are just panicked after two losses to elite teams. I don't see the Bills not getting a split against the Pats nor do I not see a win in the Cardinals, 49ers and Dolphins games. So right there picking up at least two of those 5 games puts your projection at 9-7. I also think that it is more realistic there is another win in that schedule to get this team to 10 wins or even 11 if they can sweep the Pats.

This team needs to regain its confidence against a bad Jets team and get to 5-2. Once they do that they can worry about Seattle and the harder games, just beat up on the Jets.

Your joking right

Kyler would run circles around our defense lol

Is that the standard we’re using to define who’s considered a great QB?

Fitz had a good game against our defense. Are we saying he’s great too?

OP really isn’t far off with his predictions

until Mcd shows he can beat the patriots we are most likely ending the season 8-8 or 7-9

Patriots at Bills will absolutely and 100% be a referendum on Sean McDermott. The Bills MUST be 6-2 in 2 weeks. MUST.
