But Edmunds has to get off blocks and make more plays in my opinion. Well, let's see how he does against the Raiders. Hopefully, the Rams are just that good and the Bills crush the Raiders completely. 1

He wasn’t the one giving up all of the catches to the WRs. Tre had an off game and Wallace continues to play bad. They abused Taron Johnson badly too There was a few throws over the middle Goff manipulated Edmunds specifically and targeted his space in the zone
Bleeding Bills Blue Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 The rams pose a lot of problems in the run game. And it showed. Struggles overpursuing all game long by everyone
TFBillsfan Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Entire D was bad today. Don’t recall the Rams punting. Rams offense is legit and Robert Woods is a gamer. Expected the Bills defense to be better than what they showed.
NewEra Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 His play was the biggest negative in the game imo. Gonna have to rewatch it, but it seems like he hit the wrong hole every time. The raiders and josh Jacobs are up next. They better figure this out quick. 2
BruceVilanch Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 He's 23 coming into a season with no off season, no TC, and playing one of the best offenses in the league with a wunderkind offensive head coach. I think he'll be fine
billsfan89 Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 I hope Edumonds learns from this game, he seemed to find his groove against the run last year but this game was not his best effort. I hope that shoulder isn't making him more tentative and making him less effective. 1 minute ago, BruceVilanch said: He's 23 coming into a season with no off season, no TC, and playing one of the best offenses in the league with a wunderkind offensive head coach. GG Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 (edited) This continues to be an issue with his game. After a certain point, you can't use his youth and inexperience as the excuse for too much longer. He's batting goose eggs in a D where the LBs rack up heavy tackle stats. He doesn’t have to be a Ray Lewis intimidating type of presence, but he does need to be a sure tackler and physical. He’s a coverage linebacker and that’s fine, but I’d play him on the outside next season. i also think his height is a disadvantage there. He is too tall/lean and gets beaten at the point of attack.
LabattBlue Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Edmunds needs to clean up his game A LOT. His tackling technique is horrible, and his ability to read the run is also lacking. Right about now, I’m wonderIng if he would be starting if he wasn’t picked in the middle of the first round. 1
Steptide Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Not sure if it's been mentioned, but I think this defense misses star and Jordan Phillips
GreggTX Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 (edited) I don't know how his shoulder affected him today, but run defense and tackling have always been a problem for him. He needs to play angry and make RB's fear him. I still remember Butkus saying his most fervent wish was to hit a guy so hard that his head would come off and roll down the field. Now there was a LB that understood how to intimidate an opponent. Edited September 27, 2020 by GreggTX
Dablitzkrieg Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Holy *****, this is an actual thread?
RiotAct Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 he’ll bounce back nicely against the Raiders next week, I bet
Mr. K Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Jordan Phillips is playing pretty solid for the cards as we speak.

I’ve been wanting this for a few years now...as a MLB he is just mediocre to me...but he might be elite as an OLB.... 1
vincec Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Bills play two coverage linebackers and a nickel DB on most downs. So it’s not surprising that they can struggle vs the run. They need their DL to play better if they’re going to stay with this scheme. They got run over and didn’t generate much of a pass rush either today.
AlCowlingsTaxiService Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Edmunds is a natural OLB .... I’ve felt that since he was drafted, and I’ll keep banging that drum. 1
BillsMafia828 Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Not a fan of Edmunds, he was exposed all day. Our defense is missing a true MLB 1
Captain Caveman Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 I was wondering if maybe he came back too early and the shoulder injury was limiting his effectiveness?
