Buffalo_Stampede Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 His development has been amazing and it will be remembered for a long time.

Allen became a superstar this year, but he was never nearly as bad as portrayed nationally in his first 2 years. Just listen to the national media narrative from absolutely everyone... the belief is he was awful his first 2 years when the reality is he was a rookie with an untalented skilled position corps in year 1 (Robert Foster as his #1 WR???), he actually improved dramatically in year 2 but suffered from the highest drop % in the NFL and led his team to a playoff clinching win against the Steelers on SNF and might've had a playoff victory if not for the burden of feeling he needed to carry the team combined with youth... and here we are in year 3. I would also offer that Allen’s OL has been absolutely incredible this year. I thought Allen would be an MVP candidate last year. I was wrong and was obviously a year early, but you certainly saw this as a likelihood in year 2 (and year 1... if you were looking) in terms of Allen becoming a stud. Allen's problems in year 1 and 2 are stats....too many turn overs, especially fumbles and lower completion %. Unfortunately, the only things that are preserved from the past games are the stats and with the internet they are the most easiest to find....People build their own stories based on the stats they collected and are definitely not spending their entire week watching Allens first 30 games of his career.
BillsToast Posted January 7, 2021 Posted January 7, 2021 Now he needs to increase his accuracy outside the pocket 😇
Bangarang Posted January 7, 2021 Posted January 7, 2021 Just like we all expected before the season started 1 4
Solomon Grundy Posted January 7, 2021 Posted January 7, 2021 I heard that the game plan against Josh was to keep him in the pocket 1 1

Maybe he saw Allen was his father on Wiki and screamed "Nooooo" in a Skywalkeresque fashion. I told Wright to seach his feelings... we'll see how he responds. 2

PrimeTime101 Posted January 7, 2021 Posted January 7, 2021 So much for "best way to beat Josh Allen is to make him be a pocket passer"
billsfan1959 Posted January 7, 2021 Posted January 7, 2021 Even more amazing since he was blitzed more than any other QB this year - 244 times (44% of his attempts). The next closest was Russell Wilson at 205 blitzes. As a side note, Aaron Rogers was blitzed 168 times (32% of his attempts) and Patrick Mahomes was blitzed 140 times (24% of his attempts).
BuffaloBill Posted January 7, 2021 Posted January 7, 2021 Yet, honestly it is almost more fun to watch him escape the pocket and throw on the run.
