GunnerBill Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 Amazing performance again. Especially because he had to be patient early when the Pats were in max coverage. Daboll did a really good job setting them up early and forcing them to commit their DBs to the flats and then suddenly the crossers were open and Diggs killed them. Patience and attention to detail early from Josh. Another real demonstration of his maturation. 9 1
transplantbillsfan Posted December 29, 2020 Author Posted December 29, 2020 I don't know who watched that post-game interview between Allen and Diggs, but if you did, you can see the love. Allen to Diggs is the new Kelly to Reed. 6 4

CSBill Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 Hard to argue with either Rodgers or Mahomes getting the MVP award (not sure how you can pick one over the other), but no one can deny that Josh Allen deserves to be a serious part of the discussion. He is right there and seemingly getting better each game.
TBBills Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 His completion % is getting better!?! His YPA is 7.9!!!! 1
Generic_Bills_Fan Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 Allen's now number 1 in fivethirtyeight's ELO metric...shouldnt be far behind in the mvp race

Doc Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 If it were widely known that he had a shoulder injury and was playing with a harness for the 4 games after the Raiders... 1

Sammy Watkins' Rib Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 He won't win it but he would have my vote. Would love to see Co-MVP's this year with Rodgers and Allen. 1

Has someone held that title in the past? We sure as heck know who holds it now. And if either of the two games were competitive late his stat lines for each game would be more like 400 yards 5 TD's.

And like most things, "what have you done lately" does carry some weight. If these four games for Mahomes were put as his first four games of the season and then you back loaded all his good games he would have a much different feel and momentum to the MVP race.
