Just comes down to how you stop Cam, which this defense has showed that they can contain that type of QB (Lamar Jackson last year, albeit in a win for the Ravens, had one of his worst games of the year against our D) 35 points to one of the top teams in the NFC. Didn't the Bills defence give up almost as much to the Juggernaut Dolphins led by Fitzpatrick? Before everyone starts getting in line for their seat along the parade route and wondering what to wear to Allen's HOF ceremony, take a deep breath and realize that they beat the Jets and Dolphins in games with close scores...... 1 1
TigerJ Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 It's early in the season to think about key games, but for a non conference contest, next Sunday versus the Rams looks pretty important. So far Buffalo has beaten two teams they should beat. With the Pills sporting a pretty lofty power ranking, some might categorize the Rams game that way too, but the Rams feature a tough defense and a resurgent Jared Goff (after a so-so 2019 season). The good thing about the game is that Buffalo is home and the Rams have to travel cross country. A win keeps Buffalo in control with New England likely to beat the Raiders at home. The Bills are about to embark on a challenging stretch starting with the Rams game. They have to travel to Las Vegas and Tennessee the following two weeks, and then have the Chiefs at home. If they can get through that stretch in good fashion, it will go a long way to securing the division title. This season across the league, injuries are turning into a major story. Buffalo survived the decimation of their linebacking group in the Jets game and did enough defensively to hole on to a win. Hopefully, the linebackers will all be healthy for the Rams game, and Buffalo can stay relatively healthy going forward. The 49ers were thought to have a good chance to win their division before the season started, but they look like a mash unit after just two games.

But he does look great and he has all day to throw. You know he was the MVP of the league right? he’s a top 10 qb who just been hurt. 7 hours ago, 1ManRaid said: Seattle was down their starting free safety (ejection), and then lost their nickel corner to injury when he moved to free safety to fill in after the ejection. I'm going to hold off on handing the MVP crown until he is beating teams who aren't on 2nd and 3rd string DBs, and isn't having to carry the team running on his surgically repaired legs. Oh, and GARBAGE TIME yards to go with his 1 pass TD and INT. *edit* Oh, and he didn't put up 30 points, you're kind of forgetting that pick six the Pats D lucked into at the start of the game. It’s so weird the double standards Bills have for other qbs. Would this point be made if Allen had cam’s stat line against Seattle?

Both defenses are strongest in the secondary. Bills WR group is far better. Injuries and head to head will decide the division. Agreed.. If we are legit we at least go 1-1 with them in all honesty. It's our time! 1

Yeah, about the MVP thing, you might want to look up what the headlines were back then (him being MVP was pretty unpopular). He was merely a good QB who ran a lot on a team whose defense carried him to the league's best record (MVP always seems to just go to the best record team's QB). Under 60% completion, under 4000 yards passing, and double digit INTs doesn't sound like MVP to me. That season was also a statistical anomaly he dropped from since. He was a one trick pony who was lucky enough to be handed a good enough record to win MVP by default. And double standard? Do you see me awarding Josh the MVP title already? I'm cautiously optimistic until he dominates better competition as the current race is packed with a lot of QBs putting up numbers.

He threw for over 4000 yards and 20 TD his rookie year. That would be double what Allen did his rookie year. He has been a top 10 QB when healthy and endured hits in and outside the pocket that no other QB took. It remains to be seen if he can keep up this pace, but Cam going to New England keeps them competitive.

It was to fear monger by saying Mahomes is going to dominate the AFC (like his hero Brady) "for the next few decades" because apparently he plans to play into his 50s...seems to have a thing for aging QBs? 5 hours ago, apuszczalowski said: 35 points to one of the top teams in the NFC. Garbage time, and down multiple starting LBs.
