Pitch left Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 I'm not watching a lot of games this year but the stat line didn't look very impressive although that can be deceiving - it just his second game as a fin - was his play that non descript ? I am always curious about these guys these guys in the contract year - what % ever really work out for the money invested ?
Bob in STL Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 We made a good move letting him move on. 5 1
NewEra Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 (edited) Looking forward to owning him 2 times a year for the next 3 years Edited September 21, 2020 by NewEra
Cruiserplayer Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Lawson is to the Dolphin fan as Murphy is to the Bills fans 3 2
scuba guy Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 He hit josh in the head late in a play and did not get called for it
bmur66 Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 I forgot he was a Dolphin and didn’t notice him until I saw this post. 1
Mc1320 Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 The only time I noticed him was when he got hurt. 2
Nick the Greek Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 He was hurt at one point.. saw him walking off.
Coach Tuesday Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 He can’t change direction quickly enough as it is, and it looks like he gained weight and is even more lumbering. Has had an even tougher time setting the edge so far this season.
Freddie's Dead Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Shaq Lawson was largely a non-factor today. I did see the refs let him get away with hands to the face and a head slap against Dawkins.
Rc2catch Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 I’m still not sure we should of let him walk, but also realize Miami overpaid for him. I would of liked to see his 5th year option picked up. Neither here nor there now though. He was our best linemen last year and had he played more (and not been injured) he would of had some seriously eye raising stats. I’m not sure why Miami targeted him he doesn’t fit their defensive system very good. My game was a little spotty today during travel but I never seen him
Rk_Bills86 Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Shaw Lawson is like a super budget version of Clowney - if he's got good teammates - he can flurish - but if he's the main thing to block he isn't going to win through a ton of double teams. He also got hurt early and I feel like it made a difference. The Bills O-line was really impressive today imo.
AirAllenPower Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Hes a tough rotation guy, especially vs the run. But watching Johnson and Epenesa I understand why they moved on. Addison is a beast. Fitz was on fire
Ethan in Cleveland Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Lawson was a non factor today. I would have kept him on his 5th year option but this regime liked Murphy over Lawson. Neither are worth the money they are getting but neither are terrible. Both are low end decent starters.
Da webster guy Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Shaq reminds me of lil' Donte Whitner. Got drafted too high, flashed in some games, disappeared in a bunch. A decent pro, will be in it for a 10-ish year career. He probably owes Rex a little money for the over-inflated Clemson factor.

He was universally a high pick coming out and we didn’t take him at the top of the round. for a second tier pass rusher he’s been relatively at expectation minus the shoulder issue

That's a good comparison. I think Donte actually went to a probowl or two, however he also was drafted higher than Shaq.
