transplantbillsfan Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 (edited) with 7 TDs and 2 Turnovers. Were there missed throws? Sure. Should they detract from what the overarching national discussion should be about the Bills this week--that ALLEN HAS ARRIVED--no. This was a truly great pocket passing performance. Allen didn't need his legs. So excited about this guy with the weapons around him moving forward! Edited September 20, 2020 by transplantbillsfan 3 2 1
Bubba Gump Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Dude sucks. Shoulda drafted Rosen. Fire Beane ASAP. 4

Logic Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 I'm willing to say something today that, until today's performance, I was not fully convinced of. Josh Allen is officially a franchise quarterback. 1 5 1

Over 70% completion, 700 yards, 6 TDs, no INTs through two weeks. Came up big in the 4th quarter (nothing new for him). On pace to throw 48 TDs. I don't think he'll actually hit that number but...wow. The way he played all game today -- and especially in the 4th quarter -- has convinced me that he's a franchise guy. Scary thing is, I still don't think he's reached his ceiling. 3
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Yeah it’s real- he’s arrived

Rk_Bills86 Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 If Allen can keep a 65% comp rate over the next 4 games - we will be considered right on the cusp of being in the KC/Baltimore category and absolutely expected to make the playoffs. 6 Weeks until we need to claim our crown. 1
NickelCity Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 (edited) I think what was so exciting (although a tad frustrating as a fan of the bills), was that the defense sucked, the run game was inconsistent, the fins were gunning for the win, and Allen carried the team all day. MVP numbers. Exactly what we've been waiting for. He's the man. Edited September 20, 2020 by NickelCity 1

transplantbillsfan Posted September 20, 2020 Author Posted September 20, 2020 (edited) https://www.si.com/nfl/2020/09/20/week-2-takeaways-breakdown-dak-comeback-falcons-choke-josh-allen-fire Josh Allen Is Ablaze: Last week was about dink-and-dunk, this week they opened things up and went after the Dolphins safeties, especially in the fourth quarter when Allen—with the exception of one miscommunication with John Brown that left a big play on the field (and was probably the quarterback’s fault)—was spectacular. He threw for 417 on 35 pass attempts and had four touchdowns with no turnovers, leading a fourth-quarter comeback with two touchdown drives in the final 10 minutes. The Jets and Dolphins (minus Bryon Jones) aren’t world-beaters, but Allen is sitting at 9.00 yards per attempt, a completion percentage over 70, and six touchdowns without an interception through two games. He'll miss some layups and people will get all worked up about it. But the stress he put on his first two opponents—due to his arm talent, legs and improved accuracy—has been overwhelming. Monson is still... well... you decide... Edited September 21, 2020 by transplantbillsfan
