Spun Posted April 21, 2005 Posted April 21, 2005 Yes, the man has a boatload of issues but he still has great talent. I am hoping the Dolphins (if they still have his rights) would lose further in the deal but if some team could lasso in the baggage...
MrLocke Posted April 21, 2005 Posted April 21, 2005 How is Ricky Williams accounted for with the cap anyway if the dolphins own his rights?
BuckeyeBill Posted April 21, 2005 Posted April 21, 2005 ANY TEAM... even the Dolphins, would be stupid to touch Ricky with a 10 foot pole. He is nothing but a cancer, and would bring your team down. He did it with New Orleans and Miami, who is next? Sure, he may be one of the greatest runningbacks of all time (Ditka sure thought so), but he will NEVER be known for that. He will be known as the cancer in dread locks!
MrLocke Posted April 21, 2005 Posted April 21, 2005 Also if your player how could you be his teammate? I know I would not trust him.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted April 21, 2005 Posted April 21, 2005 The only team who was interested in trading for RW was the Raiders, and they signed Lamont Jordan to a stupid deal already. No other team will trade for RW, and I don't even know if he can play this year, but I DO know he'll have to sit-out the first 4 games.
jarthur31 Posted April 21, 2005 Posted April 21, 2005 And the next time he's busted, he'll be banned from the league, correct? What team wants to make that kind of gamble? Unless, he signs a 1 year deal for the vet minimum.

Unless, he signs a 1 year deal for the vet minimum. He should have been banned when he admitted to using a masking agent. He basically admitted to failing hundreds of drug tests. But it just goes to show you what drives the NFL, seeing as how they were offering him a deal to serve his 4-game suspension LAST year and be able to play all year in 2005, despite the rules saying a player who retires after a failed drug test has to sit-out the entire year.
