Xwnyer Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 They were rotating them plain and simple 2 1
njbuff Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Sure seemed like they were rotating the OL due to the oppressive heat and humidity down there.
Rochesterfan Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 It looked like they were rotating guys all day. Lots of heat and humidity. Not sure he was benched - I think he was out and then went in for Spain on the next drive to give him a breather. Lets hold the hot takes. 1

Fixxxer Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 I think I saw #71 Bates at times in the 4th QTR. I would say I saw him at LG, but I can't tell for sure.
TheyCallMeAndy Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Looked to me as Knox may have been benched too
Logic Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 It's already been said, but I think the heat/humidity played a large role in this. They were rotating the big boys at guard.

thebandit27 Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 I noticed it. He was mostly brutal today, but he did have a really nice pulling block on a wham play that Moss took for 10 IIRC.

They were rotating the big boys at guard. I was at a game in Jax where they substituted the OL all day long. I nearly passed out in the stands. It was purely a matter of survival. The heat is bad, the humidity kills. (I actually happen to love that weather.) 12 minutes ago, TheyCallMeAndy said: Looked to me as Knox may have been benched too I think Knox had a concussion. . He was playing LG...

Motorin' Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 I honestly didn't notice anyone specifically on the offensive line today, which is probably a very good thing.

I'm not sure which plays you were referring to, but there were a few goal line plays with Bates lined up as an extra tackle, next to either Williams at RT or Dawkins at LT.

That's what I mean. If he's in the position a TE would be, isn't he an eligible receiver?
