Mike in Horseheads Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 RBG was a story that was the American dream but took a lot of perseverance on her part. RIP 1
whatdrought Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 Didn’t much care for her as an ideologue, but I appreciate what she accomplished in her storied career. RIP. 2

But, her family deserves some time before that all takes off imo 4 3
RaoulDuke79 Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 She had a good run. It was just said at the end with all of the issues being on public display. She was a tough bird. 1
snafu Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 Awful and surprising news, even knowing that she was ill. Rest In Peace Justice Ginsburg. 2
jkeerie Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 (edited) This is incredibly stunning and sad news. She was my hero! Such a stalwart champion for equality in this country. The movie "On the Basis of Sex" captured her early life and career when she argued a gender discrimination tax case. The plaintiff was a male bachelor who wasn't allowed to take a tax deduction for care-giver expenses because he was a single man. Her career had so many roadblocks because of her gender. She channeled her energy and efforts to insuring fairness for all regardless of gender. A huge loss to our justice system. Edited September 19, 2020 by jkeerie 4 1

Not being morbid, just a realist. I'm surprised she hung on this long with the pancreatic cancer and other problems. I said last year she should have retired and spent the tike she had left with her loved ones.

Golden Goat Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 RIP to the second toughest woman on the planet. {Toughest was my great aunt, who beat back cancer twice, was hit by a mail truck at 92 -- and lived another four years}. 3 2
PastaJoe Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 2020 has become the worst year for this country in my lifetime. 😔 3 1
