Yeldon has the best 40 yard speed of all the Bills RB's.  He CAN get to the outside.

He makes $1.9 mil which is more than Singletary & Moss combined.

Why is he a consistent bench warmer and not even dress for games (except the Houston Play-Off game) ?

Calm down, mom. He’ll get his chance when someone gets hurt.

:)

He should be happy to make his $1.9 mil and stay healthy. Not a bad gig!

He doesn’t play on special teams.

The Bills only dress three running backs every week, and Taiwan Jones is a core special trainer.

If Singletary or Moss get injured, you’ll see Yeldon suit up. If they don’t, you won’t.

Simple.

Taiwan Jones has the fastest 40, by a lot

This is another thread about you not wanting Josh to run. As discussed in the “Josh runs too much thread” the reason that he runs is that the other backs aren’t a threat to get to the corner and turn it up. Yeldon doesn’t play because he isn’t very good and fumbles a lot.

We get it, you want Josh to stop running. That’s not going to happen. It’s a massive part of his game and it is what makes the Bills offense dynamic. He’s the one explosive playmaker that they have in the backfield. He needs to take care of the ball better and take a few less unnecessary hits.

speed and salary determine how good a player is?

Your have to be willing to run headfirst into the backside of 300 pound men for no particular reason on an occasional basis but if that is your kinda party then TJ's job might be for you.

Why are we overpaying for a 3rd string RB that fumbles, isn't that good & can't play special teams ?

It is a fair question. I have no idea how he made the roster. He is a decent receiving back. That is his attribute that keeps him in the league, but he isn't to my mind so much better than Taiwan Jones in that facet that I'd keep him on the roster at his cost when he offers little else of value. Especially when we know Singletary can catch balls out of the backfield and Moss caught a touchdown on debut.

Every team needs at least one player who goes by their initials.

As for the thread title, it sounds like an Andy Rooney segment. 😁

He is actually dynamic as a receiver as far as running backs go but not very good as a runner (indecisive and easy to tackle and fumbles a lot) His receiving ability probably kept him on the roster, but due to his deficiencies as a runner it’s difficult to get him on the field.

Think we can use him as an emergency LB? 🤔

Hello, A.J.  Goodbye, T.J.

My son was given the same first name as myself; his middle name lent us to calling him by his initials.  His sister refers to him to her children as 'Uncle Letters'. 😁
