So was Clinton, over the same level of seriousness as this is (perjuring himself over an affair versus paying hush money over an affair).  It's funny that out of all the things you guys got yourself geeked-up over, this is what gets him arrested.  But hey, as long as you see him perp walked, eh?

Hey, Capone went for tax evasion.

If they can’t get him on the bigger crimes (likely because he is a walking typhoon of obstruction), there’s no shame in getting him on the lesser, easier to prove, crimes.

Also, it’s incredible how people are still willfully ignorant about the Clinton investigation. Guess it fits their narrative, so who cares about the facts so long as it feels good?

Like I said, basically the same situation.  Investigate for something, find something else which is nothing worth caring about and then catching them in a crime covering it up.  You can't cheer for one and then criticize the other.

Did Clinton use campaign money for his payoff?

Or not, actually. If you apply the law equally to each situation, it would be correct not to indict Hillary but to indict Trump.

But applying the law equally to everyone is the antithesis of MAGA. Rules and laws are only applicable to the “other” while anything against MAGA, no matter the evidence, is dismissed as biased.

What does it matter?  A crime was committed in both instances.

hunter Biden illegally purchased a handgun and his wife put it in a garbage can across from a school. Shouldn’t he be charged? Why hasn’t he?

Trump posts on Truth Social that he’ll be arrested next week

Former president and current Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has posted on Truth Social that he expects to be arrested on Tuesday, slamming the move from lib prosecutors as something you’d see in a banana republic:

Yeah, yeah we know, Dershowitz is just a MAGA stooge.

That, precisely, is what we are now seeing with the Manhattan district attorney, Alvin Bragg, targeting the former president and current candidate, Donald Trump. Does anyone actually believe that if someone else were accused of paying hush money to avoid a sex scandal in the manner that Mr. Trump is suspected of doing, he would be prosecuted?

After spending months searching the criminal code for a law that Mr. Trump might be accused of violating, Mr. Bragg has apparently landed on a highly questionable campaign contribution provision that has never before been used in a comparable situation.

As Jackson also presciently observed: “With the law books filled with a great assortment of crimes, a prosecutor stands a fair chance of finding at least a technical violation of some act on the part of almost anyone.”

He added: “In such a case, it is not a question of discovering the commission of a crime and then looking for the man who has committed it,  it is a question of picking the man and then searching the law books, or putting investigators to work, to pin some offense on him.”

All decent people, whether politically opposed to Mr. Trump (as I am) or supportive of his candidacy, should be concerned about this weaponizing of the prosecutor’s office for the political purpose of preventing a potential candidate from running for office.

Yes, perjuring yourself is a far more serious crime.

I guess DoJ is shy to indict former presidents for obstruction. Wish they weren’t though.

He’s under investigation for it. At this point I hope they indict him because I’m tired of the MAGA obsession over the guy.

shouldn’t you hope they indict him because he committed a very serious crime? No matter the political affiliation?

Do you believe they should arrest Joe Biden’s son on tax and gun charges?

Should those who funded the BLM riots be prosecuted?  Should those who participated be locked up for years?

That’s what this becomes.  Whoever controls the power, just goes after their political opponents.

We’re venturing into third world country territory.  Every institution is politicized, the media can’t be trusted and politicians look to censor and prosecute those who oppose them.

yes to all of it. We have enough room in the jails for the 1-6 rioters we have enough for the blm ones too. Charge them and the future ones won’t do it. That’s the point of the justice system

As long as you’re consistent … Now, if only our justice system wasn’t corrupted.
