Rochesterfan Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 (edited) I did not see this anywhere and just wanted to say Congrats to a great Buffalo Bill. Another nice honor for a deserving player! Edited September 17, 2020 by Rochesterfan 3
Saxum Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Ahead of Barry just like he was in college. Congrats. https://kfor.com/sports/osu-to-begin-football-ring-of-honor-with-thurman-thomas/#:~:text=Oklahoma State's football program announced, above the west end zone. Quote The Cowboys will wear replicas of the white uniforms they wore against the Mountaineers when OSU beat West Virginia 35-33 in the 1987 Sun Bowl. Thomas was the MVP of the game, rushing for 157 yards and four touchdowns on a snowy day in El Paso, Texas. 2 1
Saxum Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Stillwater, OK? They ought to get Barry Gibbs, last of the Bee Gees, to play Still Waters at that game. Still Waters (Run Deep) Bee Gees Still waters run deepJust remember when we lie to each otherNo one wins and losers weepReflections will showThis connection we can lean on each otherThis is all we need to know Now I admit I've been a fool sometimesI believe I may be losing youIt's now or never, we talk before a tear is shedUnder your spell and over my headYou took me in your arms, and you told meWe don't need to worry, but youYou never say you're sorry Keep this love alive for us, it's all I feelHow can we survive if we change what is real Still waters run deepJust remember when we lie to each otherNo one wins and losers weepDeception will showIt's a struggle when you're starved for affectionThis is all we need to know I see the angel and the devil in your heartI confess,…

thronethinker Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 “In the NFL, he was a five-time Pro Bowler for the Buffalo Bills, helping the team to four straight Super Bowl appearances, and was the league MVP in 1991.” Thomas was also the real MVP of Super Bowl XXV. His performance was by far the best of any player in that game. 1

Rochesterfan Posted September 17, 2020 Author Posted September 17, 2020 Sorry - updated the title to reflect OSU - quite the Honor to be the first.

Hey, I assumed it was a Bills thing at first. 1
NoHuddleKelly12 Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Hopefully our rushing game this week is reminiscent of the Thurminator’s usual stat lines against the Dolphins—he owned that franchise! And of course congrats on the OSU honors, he deserves to be 1st in line!

I'm shocked that OSU only just created this "Ring of Honor" when dozens of other worthy candidates played there over the decades. 2
Mango Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Jesus. I lived in OKC for a few years and have been to games in Stillwater. People regularly wear Thurman Bills Jerseys on Saturdays for game day. Lots of them. I just assumed he was on their ring of honor. I am shocked that 1. He isn’t already up there, and 2. I didn’t pick up on it before.
Nanker Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Well, considering that they never had a “Ring of Honor” up there before now, it’s easy to see how you wouldn’t have noticed it. 1
JMF2006 Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Congrats to Thurmal #34 in the program #1 in our hearts
