Josh looked rattled to start the second half and we lost a lot of energy. The missed throw to John Brown was really bad. Like how the offense recovered and moved the ball to set up points. We need a kicker immediately the first was good per the announcers the Red is bling

Yeah, that's a pretty unbelievable miss for the refs. Had Bass drilled 3 of them down the middle and shanked one, I'd be fine. I was more concerned that all four kick veered right. Even the 22 yard attempt barely snuck in. 2
Billsatlastin2018 Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 1st. Half? Thought I was back at Rich, with the K Gun in the 90s! FABULOUS! 2nd. Half? Virtually, EVERY freaking year pre McVeigh! TRASH!

Josh looked improved. >70% completion is a huge step forward plus PFF can't talk about no 300+ yard games anymore. Easy win - check. Things to improve on - yes but there was alot of good things out there for week 1 with no preseason What do you want to bet they pivot to the fumbles now even though that's never really been a thing they've complained about with him. 1

Wondering what they do with Bass going forward... We were literally NEVER behind. Also, again, guessing they get better after playing some more players that are not their own... 1
Success Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Bass just looks like he has to make a minor correction; he's pushing them. And he SHOULD have been 3 for 4, for sure. Terrible call.

Those were both chip shot FGs.(Even if he did just make that FG)He’s a big concern going forward. No....there isnt. This is what you live with in a rookie kicker.....who went 3 for 4 in the game.
Rochesterian Bills Fan Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Decent but not great effort, got somethings to clean up. Overall enjoyed the game outside a bit of the 3rd where I was being triggered by Bills-esque signs of trouble. 1

Maybe Someday Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Josh needs to hold onto the ball and hit that easy TD. Rookie kicker butterflies out of the way now?? Injuries hit our LBs hard today. Hopefully none are long term. I love 1-0. 2
Chewmylegoff Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Diggs looks legit. Put his body on the line. If he keeps getting hit like he did today it will end up like the eyeball scene in Any Given Sunday. 1 1

LABILLBACKER Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 It's ridiculously frustrating to watch Josh. We all know he has talent but he knew last year he had to work on fumbles and ball security. It's like he learned nothing. Either Daboll has to back off on all the planned Allen runs or this kid will get hurt or fumble constantly. He was 72% today and had only that bad overthrow to Smoke. Let him develop his own pocket. His pass protection today was great. Hopefully our run game improves. 5 1

I don’t remember them.
Trekking Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Watching the same old Josh, but his receivers not being dropping machines really elevates his play. The line held almost all game too. Cant stand the designed QB runs. Running game was non existent. You can give Bass 3/4, but every kick still looked bad. Defense is good. Defense without both starting LBs isn’t as much. Don’t need to tell Beane where roster moves need to be made. Jets offense didn’t have much to offer though and points were from a single missed tackle and garbage. No big concern.
Success Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 I wasn't on the game thread, but this had to be discussed: Please, please - let's limit the designed runs to Allen. I get that he's a playmaker w/ his arms and his legs, but we have 2 good backs, and he took a beating out there today. 1 1
