Tens Millions of Americans are in Danger of Their Homes Burning to the Ground. Thousands of acres of private property have been torched. Climate change, whether man made, natural, or a mixture of both, has made portions of the west coast uninhabitable.

California has never before seen a fire as large as the one burning now on federal land north of Sacramento.

The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, or Cal Fire, on Thursday put the August Complex Fire in Mendocino National Forest atop its list of the largest wildfires in the state. Six of the 20 largest fires have taken place this year.

more than likely it is Cali's Forrest management policies at the root of it.

A better title to this would be West Coast facing threat from forrest fires.  Anyways, hopefully no injury or loss of life comes out of this situation.  Property damage will unfortunately result.  I have a cousin who lives near Sacramento and I will most likely call my aunt to see how he is fairing.  My personal opinion is the region is too vulnerable to problems such as that making living there difficult.  Perhaps, when you look at statistics which suggest a certain percentage is attributed to carelessness by human beings that each person spawned fire is devastating never mind the outcome of a multiple of fires.  I don't like to tell others their business when it comes to where they live but I don't think it is wise to have a high density of people living there.

Ash fallout here is terrible. I can't complain obviously as the closest significant fire has been 30 miles away. I bitched about just getting my black truck washed and then got ruined by overnight ash fall then I realized how bad that sounds as others businesses and houses burn. First covaids hoax, then riots based on lies and now this.  The pattern recognition in me says that something is up with these fires as well.

Any arsonist out West should be charged with attempted murder at the least.

QAnon fans spread fake claims about real fires in Oregon

Authorities in Oregon are pleading with the public to only trust and share information verified by official sources about the unprecedented wildfires sweeping the state.

The pleas come as law enforcement agencies described 911 dispatchers being overrun with calls about a false online rumor that "Antifa" members had been arrested for setting the fires — a claim promoted by the anonymous account behind the QAnon conspiracy theories.

On Friday, the FBI responded, saying, "reports that extremists are setting wildfires in Oregon are untrue."
