Just Jack Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 (edited) Well, as we all know, this season is going to be an experiment. All I've seen so far is who the Head ref will be, others will be assigned based on where they live. So we will end up seeing some of the same officials multiple weeks. Previously they could only work at most two games with the same team. With that said.... Week 1 - Jets at Bills Yrs 2019 crew College Occupation R 14 Shawn Smith 6 Ferris State finance If I find the rest of the crew, I'll update the post. And yes, there is a list out there from June showing a full crew, but it's already been said that it will change. Seasons1992 Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 I wonder if they'll have to wear masks.
Buffalo Boy Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 With lack of fan noise and them practicing social distancing we ought to be able to hear them make ridiculously worthless calls against us in real time👿 1 1

TroutDog Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 Interesting. They’ll all have to be from non-blocked states which, I assume, limits who they can choose.

TableDestoyer69 Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 Looks like Shawn Smith calls more penalties than average https://www.pro-football-reference.com/officials/SmitSh0r.htm Should be a good way to evaluate if the discipline issues have been cleaned up this year. Bills were 7th in giving up penalties in 2019. 1
Coach Tuesday Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 Let’s just have a weekly thread keeping track of where Jerome Boger and Walt Coleman are. 1

UConn James Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Game was called fair. No real complaints besides the first FG miss that was iffy as it went directly over the upright... but *shrug*. Josh got two roughing the passer calls, one a shot near the head, and another on a hit at the ankles / knee a couple seconds after the ball was out that had the potential for soft tissue injury 😠.
