Oof, "highest paid corner" were the three words I didn't want to hear.

I can't argue with it and I'm happy for him because he deserves it, I just hope for value's sake the other teams then just pay that much more for talent not better than Tre.

*edit*

Now that the price is disclosed on the page this post landed on, I'm suddenly less concerned.

I owe @Shaw66 an apology. I said that Tre was not taking any hometown discount. He has taken at least $4m less than his market value over the term of the deal.

Why only 4 years though? Usually teams give their star players 5 or 6 year deals. And does that 4 years count the one year he already had left on his deal plus the 5th year option we picked up? Because that woukd technically only make it a 2 year extension

This is amazing. Ramsay probably gets 20mil. Then humhries/lattimore could get slightly more than tre due to negotiation position.

Baltimore, New Orleans & Los Angeles are celebrating this deal almost as much as Buffalo.

they probably put some money into this upcoming season similar to Dawkins’ extension

So wouldn't that only have him here through 2024?

I'm confused.

I thought the 5th year option is only for guys not under long term contracts?

So true Gunner.  Tre doing it on top of the 5th year option gives the signing bonus split so much better for the cap.

Tre really did his best to help the "process"!
