Rotoworld already rumored us to be in the mix but I think it makes total sense:

1) A back up with starter potential - should Josh Allen ever get hurt for multiple games, Rosen has a higher ceiling that Barkley.

2) A healthy competition to push JA - Lots of the top QB's around the league have solid back ups behind them to help the starter remain accountable - Rodgers/Love, Brees/Winston, Carr/Mariota, Trubisky/Foles, Wentz/Hurns, Baker/Keenum, Prescott/Dalton

I love Josh Allen and think he can be our franchise QB, but I would feel a lot safer seeing him hurdle opponents with Rosen holding the clipboard.

Can he be that much worse than Matt Barkley?  I question whether Josh Allen would rather have Rosen in our qb room over of Barkley.

What has Rosen done or shown to even suggest he’s better than Barkley? Or Fromm?
Rosens play has been at a disaster level.
I’ll be the first to admit he’s been in bad spots when asked to play but he’s still shown nothing that we don’t already have. I’d rather be go to Seattle or the giants or Atlanta or somewhere in the NFC where he’ll have a shot to actually sit and learn and get his redemption chance later.

The attitude rumors have to be somewhat real at this point, right? Either he's a limited QB, or he's a potentially talented QB with a bad attitude. I don't want either.

This scares me.He's sort of like a slightly more talented more hyped Nate Peterman. Noodle arm, stares receivers down, propensity for turnovers.  Having said all this I trust the front office. A lot of people knocked us for taking Rosen and I will admit I wanted to see that be the pick over Allen. Happy to be dead wrong on that one.

Well, we do a chance to make up for being one of the "nine mistakes" teams that passed on him in the draft.

So if we do that but put him behind Allen is that the same mistake or an additional one?

Definitely an additional one.  I was told for four months how he was the most pro ready and a carbon copy of Eli Manning.

He's a bust-just couldn't make it at the next level.  No reason to add him to the mix when he's no better than Davis Webb, who already knows the offense.

Rosen is a prime example of fans who "saw him play in college" and expected big things.  The problem is the NFL is so much faster than college that until the guy actually shows he can play it doesn't matter what he did in college.  It's so difficult to determine the bust factor on a lot of QBs because the players they face in college are not NFL caliber & until they face the real thing, you just never know.  From the reports, Rosen's biggest problem is his inability to read NFL D's.  As a result, he'll never be anyone who can push a starter and for our team to waste their time on him is totally unnecessary.  Now if Beane wants to put him on the practice squad over Fromm, I wouldn't object, but he has no business anywhere near the active roster.

If you think Rosen has a noodle arm, you might not know much about him. He has a pretty good arm, and as far as athletic ability goes, is worlds apart from Peterman.

Rosen doesn't seem like a process guy...

Yeah, he seems more like the "poison the starter's gatorade" kind of guy.

This!

He has no value, absolutely no value, to the Buffalo Bills.

I joked about Rosen in another thread but actually I'd like to see us bring him in. The guy hasn't had much luck so far and zero consistency in his environments and systems. He's still an unknown quantity and so long as his confidence isn't totally shot to hell, he could still prove the doubters wrong or at least become a viable backup

How about NOOO Scott!  www.zipit.com.org.

This guy was lazy by all reports, and has been traded once, now a second time.  Why give up a draft pick for this guy, or even take him if released.  Noodle arm, lazy and a bad attitude.  Yeah, that’s a great idea.
