H Back type is more how I see him, he is a swiss army knife/utility player for sure, definitely not useless, would love to have him! A fullback is a guy that can block in space, first and foremost. A hybrid/h-back cannot do that—they are hybrids because they can do the ballcarying/pass catching part, but not the blocking part. Those guys are useless, though. If you need a pass catcher, play a TE or WR. 1

Catching the ball is just the “cherry on top” for the FB position. DiMarco isnt great, especially at go routes (famously), but he is ok at it. 1

And will he be snapped up if he is? 11 hours ago, stevewin said: Yes - one coach said no doubt coaching is in his future. I think they will like him in QB room as someone to help Josh prepare - Fromm likely useless on that front But...but...but...all the pundits said Fromm would "challenge Josh Allen" and help him prepare! Some pundit: ""The one thing that I think that's going to be a great fit about this in Buffalo is that Jake Fromm and his intelligence, his knowledge has blown teams away during that portion. So as a backup, I think he'll be able to help Josh Allen in the meeting room as they prepare to get ready for that week's opponents" Fromm is going to be a starter! 1
stevewin Posted September 5, 2020 Posted September 5, 2020 Now that I've had time to catch up and absorb this thread - after consideration I'd have to say that the mis-use of the word 'literally' is my language/grammar pet peeve 2

A cut tomorrow doesn’t determine Fromm won’t start in the league at some point. IF this had been a regular offseason with a regular preseason Fromm would of beat out Barkley. No doubt in my mind. Fromm has all the tools Barkley has. Fromm’s floor is Barkley. And I am not Fromm fan, just call it like I see it. I am a big UGA fan. Edited September 5, 2020 by atlbillsfan1975

I wonder if they had asked a vet to consider and release and immediate re-sign and they said "nope"? I had no idea the league let you rescind. Either someone is physically able to perform or they're not, right? 6 hours ago, Monty98 said: Weak link is OLB, maybe CB. If you have a late round pick in the first use it on an OLB not a CB. Cant imagine paying Tre and another potential top corner when upfront we have to pay Milano, Edmunds, and Oliver The advantage of taking another corner in the first in 2021 is that by the time you have to think about paying him Tre's big bumper new deal is ending and he is a 31 year old corner. If you are going to do it and try and have two top flight cornerbacks 2021 is the year to pick one. Then if that guy works out in 2026 I have the choice between paying a 25/26 year old or a 31 year old.

I thought his aggressiveness would translate into a pass rusher but I don't think McD values linebackers that rush from the outside. I really liked his pass rush potential too. And I thought if the Bills could channel his aggressiveness and improve his fundamentals they might have a player there. When you take a guy in round 5 you know there are going to be rough edges. He just never got there unfortunately.
