Doc Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 Sweeney will be put on the regular season PUP list. No need to cut him. Fromm can probably be cut and PS'd. I think Murphy is a semi-surprise cut. Salary cap might be a factor here.

Expand Evidently Josh Allen uses him a lot for input as well. Has mentioned him multiple times but none of other TEs except on game days.

Hopefully it is DiMarco and they keep 6 WR and no fullback. Other possibilities are Taiwan Jones or Matakevich. Both players will never see the field on offense or see defense. He's cheap so $$ saved isn't an issue. The reason for cuts, particularly the surprises are due to a numbers glut. Sweeney gives you a free move so what are you accomplishing by cutting him?.
