He sold it to a collector in ‘08, and the anonymous owner is auctioning it. I say we “go fund me”, bring it back to Buffalo and bury it deep, only to be exhumed when we can wrap our first Lombardi in it! “This letter is to certify that the accompanying game worn jersey was issued to me by the Buffalo Bills and worn during Super Bowl XXV versus the New York Giants. The jersey has been in my family possession since that game and is an original and the only one that I wore at Super Bowl XXV. I hope that a fan enjoys it as much as I enjoyed playing football in the NFL. “Sincerely, Scott A. Norwood”
machine gun kelly Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 Pass. Feel bad for the guy as he had a good career, kickers did not typically make 47 yarders back then, and he didn’t miss a kick the following year. 2
RiotAct Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 I’ll throw in a bid. Wait, nevermind, just saw it’s already up to $24000.

He was terrible. 2
Steve Billieve Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 Heritage's estimate has it at 50k, so most likely goes for slightly more.

I feel like we will win the super bowl when that thing is destroyed Can we put a GoFundMe page together and send it to Thurman to burn it? Ultimately, he's the one that got screwed the most! 4
JohnNord Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 I think we need to exorcise those demons. Someone from Buffalo needs to buy it and burn it in Hammer’s Lot!!!

Wizard Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 If we send a jersey to Thurman, he may have it misplaced on the sidelines next to the helmets. 4
billsbackto81 Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 Wonder what Bill Buckner's glove went for? 3

Chandler#81 Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 I bid on it. Their response; ‘Sorry, Sir, Wide Right.’ Bastards! 6 1

Excorcise that awful day. Remember the raiders OT win late in the season. He missed 3 FG's and an XP before hitting the game winning kick. Thurman said they would have thrown Norwood out of the plane on the ride home if he missed it.
Dr.Sack Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 That jersey is infamous. He makes that kick the value is 10x.
SF Bills Fan Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 I agree that it should be burned. It's like exorcising a demon. 1

MGK, theory on this and i am sorry this is just what we do as Bills fans...if they had run Thomas to the left on the previous play instead of the right do you think Norwood would have split the uprights? Although he maybe would have made different adjustments I like to think he would have.
