CNYfan Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 Darron Lee was supposed to cover Gronk for the NJJ. Fast coverage lb/hybrid type. Didn't work out for Bowles
Don Otreply Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 For those in the know, is D Lee good at his job?

BillsFanForever19 Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 I'm all for bringing in a former 1st Round pick to compete for the 5th or 6th Linebacker spot. 14 1 1

billsbackto81 Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 (edited) Many of us including myself considered him an interesting prospect back in 2016. He was pretty much supposed to be what Milano is for us now. Smallish LB that excels in speed and coverage skills who's not much of a thumper. He went #20 right after we picked Lawson @ #19. He never panned out so far but may excel in this particular defense. Edited August 24, 2020 by billsbackto81 4 1
MJS Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 I'd totally take a flier on him. I thought he was going to be pretty good coming out, but it hasn't worked out. But McDermott can coax that 1st round talent out of him. 1

I'm sure you're aware many analysts and draft gurus had him as a late 1st, early 2nd. I agree with you though, he wouldn't have been my 1st pick and neither would Shaq. Obviously in hindsight Chris Jones or Myles Jack would've been nice.
