machine gun kelly Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 As always, you make good points Biscuit. What could help is if the CFL were willing to adopt NFL rules and size of field, hash tags, etc. you’re right though they could easily be a great feeder league, and in a way if they are not overlapping at all with the NFL season, maybe the NFL could help support in a small way to the CFL. The other thing is the CFL could use as a marketing tactic to UDFA who don’t make the PS for NFL teams and get exposure to NFL scouts. I know you were just trying to make a point with the knucklehead who it looks didn’t even read the article on obesity. I don’t understand if you’re not even going to take the time to scan an article for a guy who took the time to look up, post, then don’t comment. I always thought if you or anyone is going to take the time to attach an article, I need to make the time to at least look at it before I say anything. Have a good Biscuit. Glad I went to the gym this morning. ?

Over 29 years of fanhood Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Wonder if this boosts NFL viewership
Jerome007 Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 A good thing would if the XFL buys out the CFL and creates a bigger, two country league that doesn't overlap with the NFL season. Basically an alternate B league that some stars or players could move up, and some, move down and create interest. Only two countries play this style of football yet the CFL have, on purpose, all kind of different rules: 12 players instead of 11, 3 downs instead of 4, bigger and larger field, 3 minute warning instead of at the 2 minute mark (for real!), goal post at the zero yard line and on and on. I could understand a few differences but this is borderline absurd how deliberate it is. And the field is way too big. As a spectator, you feel too far way from the action. I recall going to a game at the 50 yard line, at say the bottom 3rd, which seems like the perfect spot yet still feeling far from the action, compared to any Bills game I've been to. Anyway, players would like to play, CFL have no season, XFL have new ownership, so XFL could seize the opportunity. Crossing the border of course is an issue. But isn't hockey and basketball doing it?

If you can't fill the stadium, you can't make any money. Thanks! I can avoid clicking on the article AND avoid poor attempts at humor and/or stupid political posturing in this thread all at the same time.

That's a sad stat. NY is more in line with Canada as far as obesity rates go. Here's a national breakdown by the CDC.
