JetsFan20 Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 This new MLB schedule would be great. Could you email imagine the spike in game day attendance if matchups were adjusted? Here is my idea-32 teams and 8 divisons Northeast NYJ NYG New England Philadelphia Rust Belt Buffalo Detroit Cleveland Cincinnati Mid Atlantic Baltimore Washington Tennessee Pittsburgh South Atlantic Miami Carolina Tampa Atlanta Gulf Coast Dallas Houston New Orleans Jacksonville Midwest Chicago Green Bay Indianapolis Minnesota Southwest Los Angeles Rams Los Angeles Chargers Arizona Cardinals Las Vegas Raiders Northwest San Francisco Seattle Denver Kansas City
dma0034 Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Breaks up too many rivalries. Maybe there is a better place for KC?
SinceThe70s Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 I'll be happy when game day attendance is a legit concern again.
PromoTheRobot Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Just swap the Bills and Ravens and you're done. We belong in the AFC North. 2
KOKBILLS Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Pittsburgh would be in Buffalo's Division in any logical realignment situation... 1
Mike in Horseheads Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 I guess the fan doesn't know this topic has been beat like a dead horse on here many times. 1
Rocky Landing Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 How do you have two teams in the same division, Jets, Giants, and Chargers, Rams sharing a stadium? Seems untenable. 2
whatdrought Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Not horrible. Lot of little things that would need to be changed. Couple obvious ones: Jacksonville is on the Atlantic Coast, while Tampa is on the Gulf coast. As someone else said, no such division as “Rust belt” If it doesn’t include Pittsburgh. The NFC north is the only division that lined up to begin with- just call them the Great Lakes division and you’re good to go.
Not at the table Karlos Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 We wouldn’t have had the long playoff drought if that was our division. 9-7 we would have been division champs.
BillsfaninSB Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Miami to south, Colts to north and Ravens to east. 1

I think Pittsburgh made more sense in then Mid Atlantic so they could keep their rivalry with Baltimore. The other option would be to swap Cincy with Pittsburgh, but the natural rivalry between Cincy and Cleveland was important.
JoPoy88 Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Oh my GOD please leave with this BS @JetsFan20 PLEASE. everyone else in this thread...why humor this guy? 1

Came here to say this. The only way sharing a stadium works is if you are in different conferences. Same division would not be even remotely acceptable. 1 hour ago, JetsFan20 said: I think Pittsburgh made more sense in then Mid Atlantic so they could keep their rivalry with Baltimore. Just Jack Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 (edited) These seem obvious, based on distance, so fans can easily travel to away games... Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Detroit New England, NYJ, NYG, and Philly Tennessee, Cincy, Indy, and Chicago Now you start getting into teams were at least one has a further distance to travel than others Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville, and New Orleans Baltimore, Washington, Carolina, Atlanta Now once you get west of the Mississippi, teams are a lot more spread out, till you hit Cali... Green Bay, Minnesota, Kansas City, and Denver Dallas, Houston, Arizona, and Las Vegas Leaving you with... San Fran, LAC, LAR, and Seattle Edited August 16, 2020 by Just Jack
Ethan in Cleveland Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Get rid of divisions. I would much rather play every team at least every two years instead of the same teams every year. 1

I believe that would be a lot different, and very problematic. Imagine being a division rival sharing a stadium with say, the Patriots*...
