Make it as attractive as they can.
Koko78 Posted August 14, 2020 Posted August 14, 2020 Grand Island was an odd location to put a major distribution center, but it's not surprising that the asswholes chased them (and the 1,000 jobs) away. 1

Who puts a distribution center on an island??? I trust Amazon knows their ***** but that just sounds stupid. How my roads on and off the island are there?

Orlando Buffalo Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 This sounds like a smaller version of what happened with Adelphia back in the late 90's. If memory serves, the city was being offered 1,000 good paying jobs and the construction of a building downtown but the mayor wanted to squeeze them for a few more dollars and Adelphia left. I am aware that Adelphia went the wrong way shortly after but the jobs still existed when Comcast and Time Warmer bought them out.
