Kirby Jackson Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 This is sad news for UB. They were set to be loaded. I honestly think that they would have cracked the rankings at some point during the season. 1 Quote
Buffalo_Stampede Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 They are young enough to be strong next year but this does suck. I'm guessing the Mac will allow all seniors a chance to play next year. Quote

I’ll admit that I’m surprised that forecasting this season as unplayable makes teams think that come Jan/feb they will be able to kick off. just seems they would be making that decision to play or not in the heart of when the spike they are avoiding in the fall would be happening Quote

Chandler#81 Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Not unexpected, but sad nonetheless. When the big Div.1 schools cut out games against inferior competition, the writing was on the wall. 2 Quote
Buftex Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 That sucks. No doubt, the closer we get to September, there will be more. Quote
Orlando Buffalo Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 From a completely selfish perspective I am glad, it will give me more football to watch. I watched the XFL and think the MAC is a similar level of entertainment. Quote

UB had two big payday games again Kansas State and Ohio State. (I bet they would have beat KSU.) Like Kirby said, this was going to be a big big year for the Bulls. There was even some chatter about RB Jaret Patterson being on the Heisman watch list. Edited August 8, 2020 by PromoTheRobot Quote

I derive a pretty significant part of my income from Texas Longhorns football....its' only a month away from kickoff, and I am still not convinced it will, or should, happen. 1 Quote
YoloinOhio Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Sucks, but makes financial sense. With the power 5s only playing in conference this season, the MAC programs lose a ton of money all of their “buy games”. Quote
Warcodered Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 The Draft is going to be interesting this year. Quote

If your income is from fans in attendance I am sorry, this year will suck. I though am quite sure they will play since the TV contracts are too large and the players all want to showcase themselves for the NFL. Also besides possibly the lineman the players in college are more likely to die from the flu than Covid. Quote
Seasons1992 Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 I'm not pleased, as a proud Ohio University graduate. But I get it. Again............I'm addicted to crack.................just give me my Buffalo Bills in some fashion. Even if it's a 32 team Royal Rumble for a few weeks without a season. Quote
Dr.Sack Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 UB seniors and red shirt juniors should be allowed on the Bills practice squad. Quote

Names will be placed in those little plastic eggs that come in the 25 cent vending machines in supermarket lobbies. Every round's order will be randomly decided. You put your quarter in, and you get what you get. The draft will be administered by Larry Thomas (Seinfeld's Soup Nazi). After 12 rounds, the New England Patriots will be awarded an extra roll of quarters. ? 1 Quote
Mike in Horseheads Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 ND was supposed to play WMU as their one ACC nonconference game so they have a open slot now. 2 minutes ago, Ridgewaycynic2013 said: 'Draft' my foot. Just not enough firepower on the schedule and they're really good but I don't even know if they could go undefeated in the Mac this season. Maybe a 7-1 6-2 Mac season The Mac is just a league of matchups. And unfortunately you can't match up good against everybody. There's a few teams that could give UB problems I did expect a MAC championship tho when all was said and done 51 minutes ago, Dr.Sack said: UB seniors and red shirt juniors should be allowed on the Bills practice squad. Why? I love UB. I've had season tickets since day one The vast majority of the kids can't play in the NFL. Like 99% They have a few NFL players Max. And they probably have 30 seniors and redshirt juniors Quote
