Guys, stop feeding the troll. Clearly it's what he is at this point.

It's almost systemic how it replies to every post.  Like a script or something.

But you never know.  Lots of sad people out there that will say anything for a reply from another human.

If there's water involved, which I doubt based on where you live and the time of year, be careful of double deeping that "deep end."

A machine at a gym.  my fav aerobic exercise.  but we do have a TVA lake that would be suitable.  remember the TVA, when govt saved millions from  starvation during the depression.  most of the descendants of those people have forgotten...

So, I don't want to sh&t talk your book club because I enjoy reading and on occasion, discussing a good novel with someone with similar interests.  Still, there's something just a little odd about dunking on people who are excluded from a gaggle of pseudo-intellectuals and sweater-vest-wearing-old-timers discussing the feelings of fictional characters and situations that never actually occurred.   Is there a long waiting list to join?

Give me a good conversation where the someone starts the premise that "9/11 paled in comparison to 1/6" any day of the week.  You can't find that kind of crazy in a Tom Clancy novel.

You are clearly crazy.

The nonsense of the creeps on Jan 6 is minimal compared to what occurred on 9/11.

No different than any other riot, which we have had hundred of.

No threat to our gov/democracy or anything else suggested.

Just stupid.

Further, this total "Charlottesville" thing is idiotic.

The people who marched in that unite the right thing were out of towners. Not from here.

They came here because of this nonsense of removing a Lee statue, which was stupid but did get removed.

Further, for clarification, since you often post stuff without accuracy, I didn't "witness" it.

I went to our church to do something, and when I  came back, I drove through the County building area where the unite lunes were staging.

I saw them and they were dressed, and signed in a manner that was insane.

They were not from here.

I got held up by local police so those nuts could cross the road and get to their march, which eventually led to the death of a woman.

When I got home, I told my wife that this was going to get ugly, and events played out the way they did.

what does it matter where they are from?  They exist and are becoming more prevalent and overt.  I wonder who they voted for in Nov...Of course they weren't from Charlottesville.  They were giving a big F U to the "elites" there just like MAGA is doing to just about every government institution.

No sweater vests.  Lots of denim and carhart but I don't think you'd be comfortable.  I'm going to propose we reread some of the classics banned in Florida.  We don't keep a wait list.  It's not a country club.

Between your Christmas meltdown last year and your increasingly unhinged performance today, it’s clear that the holidays are difficult for you. Hang in there, buddy.

The government is clearly rotten to anyone with half a brain.

The man lives close enough to Whitetop Laural Creek.

Grab a fly rod and enjoy.

I have.

It will be better for you than this last day here.

Don't fret about me--I'm pretty comfortable in most places so long as the conversation is lively and the people interesting.  The Carhartt doesn't tell me much---could represent anything from people who work hard, to someone interested in looking like someone who works hard but doesn't want to put in the effort.  Though, unless your bookclub is gathering outside the construction site or in the dairy barn, it might be fair to assume at least a few members represent the latter.    Would you say most of the gear is freshly ironed or no?

He's Hans Gruber. Remember what happened to him at that Christmas party at Nakatomi Tower.

2 years...plenty of time for orange demagogue to screw things up with tariffs, healthcare, justice and the migrant workforce..  Oh, and totally mishandle a crisis like covid.  Then we vote on house and senate seats, assuming we survive that long.

you keep pretending that 1/6 wasn't a planned coup attempt.  Why was Pence heavily pressured to refuse to certify the election.  Why was he threatened repeatedly by the mob?  Why did trump throw him under the buss?  Was all that staged for some secret reason?  Enquiring minds want to know...

You keep pretending (or more precisely parroting what your masters tell you) that it was a coup attempt.  What kind of coup doesn't involve weapons (and I'm talking modern day, not Stone Age)?  You really think that a group of unarmed people can take over the US government?  Biden said (in an unrelated matter) that to take over the US government, you'd need nukes and F-18s.  But yet these people were going to do it?  LOL!

And we'll see about screwing things up.  I heard that the first time around.  I also heard that Biden was going to not "mishandle" the Wuhan crisis and "shut it down"..and then did a worse job at it.

“Did a worse job”. Just doesn’t sound right literally or literally. But what was going on between trump and pence then and why?

As many deaths in the same time period in Biden's first year as under Trump despite vaccines and treatments not available under Trump.  Definitely not anywhere close to "shutting down the virus."

What was going on between Trump and Pence?  Trump felt the election was stolen.  Pence didn't and/or knew he couldn't not certify the election.  And if there was a planned coup, don't you think someone would have come forward with the details of it by now?

I thought covid was nothing worse than the flu...It was raging by the time Biden took over.  You can't put the genie back in the bottle.

trump wanted pence to refuse to certify the election.  At least you're cognizant of that.  Someone has come forward, however and he was trump's attorney.  Many other henchmen are now also felons:  https://www.npr.org/2023/10/20/1207417000/kenneth-chesebro-guilty-plea-georgia.

Wuhan virus was little worse than the flue.  But it was going to rage no matter who was in Office because you weren't going to keep it out.

And yes we all know what Trump wanted Pence to do and apparently he wasn't in on the conspiracy.  What I was saying is that there was no coordination with anyone to break into the Capitol.  And without people breaking into the Capitol, it would have been just another "mostly peaceful protest."

What a load of crap. There was abundant coordination. It’s well documented but you choose to ignore it. Telling that you call the fake electors scheme a conspiracy. Yet you support a man who engaged in a conspiracy against his own country and therefore his own people. How do you rationalize that?  Flue is what you open in a fireplace btw

Look at that, more childish pedantic behavior from the mentally unstable quack who thinks that 9/11 is no biggie compared to 01/06.

For everyone else, if you ever are uncertain of a political issue, remember to always think opposite of Dr. TDS forever, and you will be on the right side.

Unsurprisingly, you argue with the off hand comment rather than your support for a documented traitor.
