To claim otherwise is the stuff of idiotic faculty lounge conversation expressed by people who have no idea of scale or scope.

oh, you mean university elites who have been responsible for the foundation of most major discoveries and advancements in modern history?  Yeah, who needs them.  But the Jan 6 scum, you're not interested in discussing.  It's your go to play.  It's kind of barbaric in debate terms..

Other events Fergie sees as worse than 9/11:

4/23/1985:  Introduction of New Coke

1/29/2019:   The assault on Jussie Smollette

7/21/1989:   Milli Vanilli Lip Syncing Scandal

11/19/1959:  The end of the Edsel

4/15/1975:   Sony Betamax Introduced

4/1/1985:     Sammy Hagar replaces David Lee Roth in Van Halen

I think we can reasonably conclude that you would have been ok with the 2020 election being overturned that day.  A real patriot...to hell with the rule of law.

3 years for treason?  I guess I'm relatively happy that you're a fake doctor and not a judge.

You're a moron if you think that an unarmed bunch of people with no plan had any chance of overthrowing the government.  Then again, you're a moron either way.

At best the Oath Keepers probably deserve to remain in jail.  I wouldn't agree with pardoning them.  Other than that, the sentences for everyone else have already been served.  As Biden said when pardoning all those miscreants/Hunter, "everyone deserves a second chance."

Ah yes, a Democrat lecturing us about the rule of law. Illegal immigration says what?

Quacks's remarks  today take the  prize for the all-time stupidest remarks in PPP. They even drew DC Tom out to comment.

I'm not certain you can conclude anything remotely akin to anything 'reasonable'--you're the one suggesting a terrorist attack that brought down planes and skyscrapers, killed three thousand people--and was designed to kill 10,000 - 20,000 more in the towers and on the ground---was somehow less destructive than the events of 1/6 because of, uh, ancient Rome and stuff.  That's foolishness, and relevant to all the future medical students because it shows people with exceptionally poor judgement and an inability to reason can still obtain and hold a medical license.

1/6 was a stain on our nation.  I've said that since 1/6.  I'm all for the rule of law, my biggest issue being that the law seems to be harsh and resolute for some, and kinda squishy and malleable for others depending on who is in charge.  You're a situational patriot at best, and I'm an easy grader.

Thinking that 9/11 is worse than 01/06 = Being okay with a coup

Really?

You are clearly trolling and intend these posts as satire. That is obvious now. Just owe up to it.

You are clearly an idiot.

There are no university elites in this conversation.

In no way, ever, have I contested any election.

Wrong on all accounts.

No surprise.

It's clear he's been teetering on the edge for a while now. Trump winning pushed him over the edge and now this is the result. Trying to say the gop won't do anything for the average American while also being a Democrat is truly astonishing.

The election is over.  Time for them to give up the ghost.

9/11 was horrible, no denying it.  But in regards to our country, 1/6 was worse.  We are watching the disintegration of a great nation at the hands of barbarians.   This was a flash point. History has seen this play before in Rome...now care to opine on the contention that the whole thing was staged?  That doesn't offend your sensibilities?  partisan indeed...

Whoever this bot is should be shut down in the best interests of everyone.

I say that because there is no rational person that would type this nonsense

I passed them for being on the far left (which alone makes you imbalanced), but a somewhat decent person otherwise. That opinion changed my mind though. They are either a troll posting satire that took it too far or a person who truly needs mental help.

faculty lounges?  pretty clear you were disparaging some of your Charlottesville neighbors.  Where does that contempt come from? own up to who you are ideologically.  It's very clear despite your refusal to debate the most disturbing topics.

2 years...plenty of time for orange demagogue to screw things up with tariffs, healthcare, justice and the migrant workforce..  Oh, and totally mishandle a crisis like covid.  Then we vote on house and senate seats, assuming we survive that long.

you keep pretending that 1/6 wasn't a planned coup attempt.  Why was Pence heavily pressured to refuse to certify the election.  Why was he threatened repeatedly by the mob?  Why did trump throw him under the buss?  Was all that staged for some secret reason?  Enquiring minds want to know...

You just won't let go of your msm talking points huh? We can't deport illegals because of the migrant workforce? You are completely brainwashed.

I find it difficult to support the coup theory at this point. Just for the fact its been established that Trump authorized the deployment of the National Guard to the Capitol and for whatever reasons they had at the time Congressional leadership declined to utilize those reinforcements to the Capitol Police that day. It would have prevented things from getting out of hand.

Which begs the question, if you're planning a coup why would you authorize the deployment of troops that would prevent your coup from succeeding? Unless anyone wants to pursue the idea that those troops were going to support a coup attempt and side with the protesters that day.
