Tre White decides not to opt out, everyone is beside themselves with excitement because we're all in need of any small nugget of good news these days. Who wants a drink?

Diggs contract was actually redone at the time of the trade. If just didn’t get signed until he got to Buffalo because Covid hit right after the trade.

Covid actually hit before the trade. That's why he wasn't able to come here and sign it

Right, but I'm asking why people are accusing Tre making his decision about money?

Probably just because he’s in line for a new deal and could be using this as a threat that he will opt out if not given a new deal right now. Of course, it is the exact opposite of what he talked about yesterday. So it’s stupid.

I figured it was just typical social media conspiracy bull. I just wanted to be sure I didn't miss something.

If your going to opt out, just opt out.  The attention these two want on themselves is old.  Do it and go away for a year.  Don't want to hear from either.

It's almost like it's a really important decision that they want to take as much time deciding on as possible.

Realistically, his decision is already made. Maybe this is his way of:

1) Asking for some extra "hazard pay" in the form of a massive new deal

2) Drawing attention to the issues of safety that many players are feeling

This is like "Lebron James: The Decision" Buffalo Bills style. People are either going to be happy or burning jerseys.

That's true but they've had a long time to think about it. Like months since covid started

If you're really undecided and you're down to the last hour. You shouldve probably taken more time

You would think they would have their mind made up already, just not announced.

Odd that so many Patriots are opting out....

I wonder how much of it is knowing that it won't be fun playing there AND losing and how much is BB encouraging players to opt out so the team ends up with a top 5 draft pick for a QB

I have no problem if he opts out, and I wouldn’t make any attempt to talk him into playing.

You want guys on the field that are committed to being there; a distracted player is one that can cost the team and get himself hurt.

I love Tre; I respect Tre. I’ll play without Tre for a year.

Belichick's not sticking around for 5 or 10 more years. I really doubt he wants to kill his legacy by having a horrible season

Winners love to win and hate to lose. I can't see him losing on purpose, to draft a quarterback he won't even have for more than a few years

You will be well served and have a hope of being a long term member of this group if you tone down your language (this is not me being an "internet tough guy", its in the terms of membership).

Also, hands off Hapless. He is one of the most respected and knowledgeable posters on this board and is running a discussion thread in "Off the wall" with data & analysis on Covid-19 which is far superior to any single source out there.

In short, back off

Sorry I insulted the wisdom of the all mighty hapless. I wish I had the time he does to look up stuff all day and portray himself as the most intelligent knowledgeable dude on this board. I’ll know not to cross him now since you told me to ?

wtf?  Has she been talking to Rachel Bush?  LOL.  Not cool.

The last thing I'd want is my significant other spouting off on social media during this whole ordeal.

One thing that's grating on my nerves is that being critical and being a fan has to me mutually exclusive. I don't think that's the case at all. Being a fan doesn't mean that you have to agree with every decision the team or player makes. I've been a fan longer than every player has been on this roster,  and longer than a good portion them have been alive. I'll continue to be a fan long after they are gone.

They’ve bought into their own hype so much that they don’t realize that the fact that we like them is almost entirely dependent on the fact that they play for the TEAM we’re fans of. I wouldn’t give two ***** about the tre white goalie academy if he didn’t play for Buffalo.

These dudes love to say “it’s a business” when they go get their big payday but suddenly when we’re talking about them skipping seasons it’s personal. Huh? It’s just business bro.
