I would bet this redbird capital thing spent most of the money.  The rock probably got in with very favorable terms to provide headlines and be the face of ownership

The Rock will  turn XFL into the WWF and I won't be watching that *****

That is something Vince McMahon would do. I think he actually tried that the first time the XFL was around. I think the Rock played college football for the "U". He got hurt and that ended any hopes of an NFL career. I don't think he would bring wrestling into this as he is actually a football fan.

the league will need years to figure out how to run as a separate league like the cfl does.  they need to find a way to keep talent or at least have some kind of pipeline.

That should raise some eyebrows.

I'd be curious to know how Vince McMahon feels about this. Rumor had it he was trying to buy it back.

Someone raised this earlier. It's curious that one of Vince's old wrestlers bought his league. Is there some back room handshake?

Are those going to be the new XFL cheerleaders?

Given how much he’s worth, it might be worth it if he can find a way after the pandemic to fleece it for a year and get an ROI.  His name will get the recognition and given he’s worth $350 mil., there’s probably very little downside for him.

Dwayne is at "I can do whatever I want status," ya dig?

True, but that doesn't mean it will be successful.

That's certainly a possibility. It crossed my mind also. There are articles that say Vince was in a "volatile" mood backstage at Raw last night. One thing may have nothing to do with the other but the timing was interesting.
