Alphadawg7 Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 (edited) Ha beat me to it! YOU SMEELLLLL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKING? Ha, this will be interesting to see what they do with it. I like this move, I had a blast at the move XFL games in LA, so glad it’s got some life still. Edited August 3, 2020 by Alphadawg7 1

Greg S Posted August 3, 2020 Author Posted August 3, 2020 Hoping it can make it. The virus killed it last spring. I would love it if we could get spring football but the quality of play needs to improve. There were some awful games when it was on.

Kickoffs became somewhat exciting again. Punts were just... different. 3 point conversions. Double forward pass (you didnt have to worry about being behind the QB and it being a fumble - you just needed to be behind LOS). OT was kinda neat - albeit gimmicky. I kinda prefer college OT as its a bit more... football.
apuszczalowski Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 Can he own the XFL as the Owner of the Chiefs?
C.Biscuit97 Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 I wonder if after he bankrupts it, will he try to buy a nfl team and run for president? 3
teef Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 he might as well place that money in a giant pile, and set it on fire. it would just be easier that way. 1

I don't think $15mil is that much of a problem for him to front. He can just do another movie or a few appearances for Vince and make it right back.....
NoSaint Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 This is essentially season 9 of ballers, right? 3
Rocky Landing Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 The Rock was the highest paid actor last year, has been in the top three for years, and is the second highest paid actor of all time. This is pocket change for him.

TheFunPolice Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 The Rock is extremely intelligent and successful. I doubt he bought it unless he has some plans for making it work. Maybe his star power will help the league? 2

Kurt Warner won’t have been Warner if he didn’t get to play in the arena league or NFL Europe. people love saying players are busts but some of these guys just need a chance to play. 1
May Day 10 Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 I dont think a pro league will survive unless the NFL wants it to, and they will serve markets they feel are best in their own interests.
