Jerome007 Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 He'll do his 14 days quarantine and voila, done. Unless he is ultra sick this would be a complete non-event if the media were not so damn hellbent on spreading fear. Covid is real, but not THAT bad for the non-old non-comorbidity folks... which is 99.9% of the NFL. They need to be quarantined to protect the vulnerable people around them and move on. Stop crying like little girls. 2

It’s not hard to comprehend. That’s why he’ll be kept away from others for a while. Not a big deal, or any reason to cancel anything... Of course, your worst case scenario hypothetical also assumes asymptomatic persons can spread the virus... 1

Pederson could be in the presymptomatic phase where he has it but hasn't developed symptoms yet (some people develop minor symptoms and don't even realize they have it (feeling lethargic, dulled tasted buds, slight cough, etc..). It's common to spread it while in that phase as that seems to be where the virus is most contagious. If he remains asymptomatic it's unlikely but still possible that he can transmit the virus to someone else based off what research has been done to the best of my knowledge. I'm hoping that the NFL executives and players can learn from MLB's mistakes and develop policies that increase the likelihood of being able to play a season without being in a bubble.
