\GoBillsInDallas/ Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 ...when you are stuck listening to a 30-person 4-hour online meeting?

Do you have the ability to be on mute the entire time? I'd throw on some records. Or if I were you, I'd search for more "Would Ya" candidates that don't involve poop ( @plenzmd1 ) and keep us all entertained throughout the duration. 1 2 1
UConn James Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 I’m remembering a show scene where a character put up a cardboard cutout of himself for a group video conference. Was it George Costanza? Sounds like something he’d do.... 1
KD in CA Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 Whatever it is, I hope you remember to go on mute for audio and video!
WhoTom Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 I have a holograph machine that projects my image in front of the camera while I go do other things.
Johnny Hammersticks Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 I actually muted my mic and played a few games of Call of Duty during a lengthy online meeting on Monday. Left for about 10 minutes between games to make a sandwich. 1

Nelius Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 (edited) Gamble. No shame. I haven't left the house in 4 months and it's legal here, and if there's more than a few of us we probably don't need the meeting anyway and its just going to inevitably devolve into smaller meetings to recap the bigger meeting. I've started playing pokerstars again after many years. It's not for real money anymore but whatever. I previously taught my kids how to play cards so now when they see me online they want to watch and strategize the hands, so that's been fun.
BUFFALOKIE Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Like a good employee should, I find something productive to work on - related to the meeting or otherwise. 1
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 Read, or play some hearthstone. Large meetings like that don't really happen in my company, there's only four of us. ?
