BuffaloBillsMagic1 Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 Great long term trade by Jets for overrated player. Great short term trade for Seattle strengthening their defense but will kill their cap and hurt their future with those picks they sent 13
patzen Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 The Jets grossly mismanaged Adams but they really did get about as much as you possibly could get in return for him. They got worse in the short term but should be better long term for it. 6

No leverage but he was going to walk. So they saved themselves a year of headaches and got two firsts and a decent safety in return. 4 1
RalphWilson'sNewWar Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 Defensive Stars...you can win with them just as easily as lose with them. Football only will come down will Darnold know what to do on 3rd and 7s and make it happen. Jets have a blue chip QB draft pick in his 3rd season with a Offensive minded coach. Goal should be to win 31-24 not 13-7. 3
YoloinOhio Posted July 25, 2020 Author Posted July 25, 2020 Apparently this trade was in the works/done prior to that article that same out yesterday where he trashes Gase 1

LeviF Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 That’s an insane return for a DB who frankly I don’t really think is an every week game changer. Tryna resurrect the legion of boom or something. 7
SCBills Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 Surprised at the haul sent back for Adams.. Not because of his talent, dude is a fantastic chess piece on defense, but 2-1sts for a Safety... yeesh. Glad to see him out of the division, but if the Jets GM can draft, that’s a great return. 6

And then snagged guys like Wagner in the second round, and Chancellor/Sherman in the fifth. I guess if they draft 5 All-Pros in round 2-5, then yeah, they don’t need firsts. 1

Gase is a goner. Douglas is stocking up on picks to lure the next coach. 7 1 2
Bleedingreennc Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 A 1st round pick for each of his career INT's!! Hate that he is gone, glad that we got a safety in return who had 5 picks last season.
Bob in STL Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 The Jets had to get rid of a malcontent like Adams. They got a lot in return too. Good move for them. Adams should fit in well in Seattle but the price is very steep.
YoloinOhio Posted July 25, 2020 Author Posted July 25, 2020 What happened to the narrative that “the whole Gregggggo defense runs through adams” 1
