Behindenemylines Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 It’s been a long week and maybe I’m just cranky, but am I the only one completely sickened by the coverage of Dak Prescott? My lord, the whole thing is being crammed down our throats as if he was the only QB playing this season. Is it my total hatred of the Cowgirls, my complete dislike of Dak and Zeeke and Jones? Tell me I’m not the only one who hates this totally overhyped player and all the BS surrounding him! 2 1
17islongenough Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 So sick of him that you start a thread on him 2 10 1
Rc2catch Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 If it takes away from the nonstop covid, mask and political talk I’ll gladly listen to poor Dak turning down money. 3 1

Kirby Jackson Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 Glad that you posted this because I was just coming here to post this article about the negotiations. It’s a really interesting read and one that we need to be mindful of if Josh continues to progress like Dak has. https://sports.yahoo.com/cowboys-blew-it-with-dak-prescott-in-2019-thats-why-theres-no-longterm-deal-now-and-why-he-may-exit-later-051415760.html 1 1
NobesBLO13 Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 At least it’s sports related. I was getting sick of trying to watch/listen to any kind of sports show and getting lectured at as if it were cable news. No thanks.
NoHuddleKelly12 Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 Not sure if this has already been posted elsewhere, but now Colin as a notable talking head may feel similarly to OP? https://thespun.com/nfl/nfc-east/dallas-cowboys/colin-cowherd-dak-prescott-super-bowl-qb-nfl 1
BornAgainBillsFan Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 (edited) This is the Dak story: Even average QBs think they deserve $40 mil per year now. There, now we can move on with our lives. Edited July 16, 2020 by BornAgainBillsFan 3
Bangarang Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 I’m so sick of people talking about Dak that I’m going to start a thread where people can talk about Dak. ? 1
Greg S Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 I enjoyed watching Dak play last Thanksgiving. 2 2 4
Kirby Jackson Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 The Dak hate on here is kind of hilarious. We watched him play one game and formed an opinion. A lot of that hate stems from him playing in Dallas. We look so foolish in our criticism. He’s not elite. He’s a top 10ish QB right now. The cost for a young top 10 QB is approaching $40M a year. That’s just what it is. It’s time to accept that. We MAY be (hopefully) looking at a similar problem in a few months. 4

Or make the exact same post about Dak that some made 12 minutes earlier ? Give the OP a break Dak and the media coverage is annoying but so is everything these days.
davefan66 Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 He’s not hot garbage, nor is he an elite QB the sports press seems to make him out to be. I find it funny that “business man” Jeruh is having the screws put to him by not planning this right. Unless this is the plan and Dalton is their QB of the future. (Which I can’t believe he would be).
1st Ammendment NoMas Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 (edited) The NFL as a whole has been nauseating and taking the fun out of the game by injecting agendas and politics. The Redskin debacle is just one more straw. When polls showed less than 25% of the people offended why did they buckle. Why does the minority control the majority and why are we pandering to every asshat that has an opinion. That just gives the athletes more power to assert their own beliefs all over the public. STFU and play the game. That's what you are paid to do. If I ran around my office using my position as a conduit of agenda, they'd ride me out and lock the door behind me. That's what needs to happen to the NFL. Turn off the mic, STFU and play the game before you lose your TV audience too. In a season where I should be the most excited in almost 20 years, I find myself battling to remain interested (in anything other than the Buffalo Bills) Luckily, we've had no loudmouth idiots spouting off on this team, which gives me hope. Cruiserplayer Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 Cowboys should have yanked the tag. Negotiations would of Have been easier. No one else at this point would have 30 mill to throw at a an this year.
BuffaloBills1998 Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 Did he turn down another contract lol, just trade the guy. He’s not worth what he’s asking for you’ve got Dalton and I’m sure you can win just as many games with him than Dak

No offense but the Washington situation isn’t that complicated. Why did they buckle when the public didn’t care? They buckled because THEIR SPONSORS cared!! They were about to lose giant chunks of money and their minority owners. No one was stepping in after that. It was a financial decision. Edited July 16, 2020 by Kirby Jackson 2 1
