Golden Goat Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 (edited) Game night stories always seem to get buried in other threads, and some are pretty interesting and significant. Like this one.See ya, Sessions. Even Tuscaloosa County voted for Tuberville. Update: Final with 100% of the precincts reporting: Tuberville by 21%+ in a laugher. Like this one.See ya, Sessions Geez, even Tuscaloosa County voted for Tuberville. Once again, the Trump Bump is real. Sessions last ran, unopposed, in 2014, where he received just shy of 800,000 votes. He will end up with about 1/4 of that vote tonight. While an in party run-off can't be directly compared to a general election turn out, in what was known to be a tough fight, his supporters would have gone to the polls today. ~92% reporting: Did the voters reject Sessions soundly due to his recusal during the Russia hoax? 2
B-Man Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 More: Jeff Sessions loses Alabama Senate runoff to Tommy Tuberville. Looking ahead to the general election, Jones' seat in the Senate is likely to be the hardest for Democrats to hold onto. ? 1 1
LeviF Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 The endorsement of Tuberville is a pretty good summary of how this presidency has gone - disappointingly. Sessions was probably the only America First candidate that would have been on the ballot in November. Instead we get Tommy "the riots are just about jobs and opportunities" Tuberville, failed college football coach and closet amnesty supporter. There is no political solution.

That's an old-fashioned ass whoopin'. 2

Tiberius Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 Tonight it’s Kansas Republicans are about to learn if they have a serious problem in Kansas — and another major threat to their teetering Senate majority. In Tuesday’s primary, GOP voters will decide between hard-line conservative Kris Kobach and Rep. Roger Marshall as their nominee for an open Senate seat. Democrats haven’t won a Senate race in Kansas in nearly a century. But both parties think Kobach as the nominee would put the race squarely on the map, stretching Republican resources thinner as they’re already spending to protect a half-dozen vulnerable incumbents.
