For a little perspective, I like to ask all teachers and civil servants I know how they're introducing CRT into their curriculum and managing practices and wait for the blank stares before they ask "what is CRT?".  Its almost as satisfying as watching people who believe CRT is the greatest existential threat to this nation struggle to define it.

You are using the wrong code words. Or you are not in a very blue school district.

It’s CRT at the board and administration level.

Ask if they are introducing into their curriculum that the United States is a systemically racist country.

Ask about DEI training and how it is being directed to influence the lesson plan.

or how about when your 13 year old comes home and says in a social studies exercise the teacher repeatedly stressed ‘white males’ as bad the actors is history. And you need to explain to him that the people advocating that are in fact racist brainwashed idiots that you just have to go along with so you don’t get kicked out of school.

and my younger one knows how to make a pride flag based on a school exercise but doesn’t know the months.

this is real life.  Thank you progressive morons for imposing your silly religion of narcissism on everyone else.

Why not math and science?

Leave the religion to someone else.

That "curriculum" leaves students ill equipped for the journey into a productive and self-sufficient adult life.  With few to no practical work or life skills.  But it does achieve the social justice objective of indoctrinating them with the necessary ideological foundation to become obedient subjects of The State.

I am all for every card carrying member of the most racist party (democrats) in us history paying a million dollars each to a reparations fund to be redistributed to all of black America. Go for it- Do it. Pay for what your history and ideals have done. Republicans you can opt in too if you believe all this CRT nonsense.

then kindly leave schools to focus on academics and preparation for a useful career. Sounds like everyone wins, consciouses are cleared wrongs are righted.. i can’t see how this loses.

some quick back of envelope math… assuming 60 million of the 80 that voted nationwide for the party of racism would be on the hook to contribute at a million a member to about 40million marginalized in their view Americans et voila, $1.46million or reparation is some generational wealth. Let’s wrap it up and get it done liberals!

like arguing the definition of strawman. I'm not playing.

This slays me.  R's are constantly trying to redefine terms.  There is only one definition of Strawman in logic just as there's only one reality.  There is no alternate reality.  Words have meanings except for liars who try to weasel out of the words they use by pretending they actually meant something else.

Someone with two X chromosomes and levels of female hormones that are within the normal range and without inherited resistance to their effects.  Now you define hermaphrodite , ambiguous genitalia, Turner's syndrome or sex hormone resistance (estrogen resistance).  Nature is often not binary or simple.  And we still lack understanding of much of it in regards to human sexuality.

There is uproar about everything these days.  It doesn't stop anyone from doing things they consider to be important or things that have widespread support.  Do you think white people are under represented in the mainstream media and there is a real market opportunity here?

No i never said there was as usual your missing the point i was asking a question that was aimed at comparing WHAT IF ? Or what would happen if whites did the same is all !

But you are right there seems to be a uproar for everything & any thing today myself as long as you keep your **** to your self & don't push it on me or my family have at it & have a big time doing it .

you whine about a beer commericial for women? do you whine about tampon commercials for women now too? oh and they have commercials with black people in them now, how awful and unfair....

I am embarrassed for my fellow middle-aged white men. We are literally the biggest vaginas around these days. thanks guys for your hard work with that

I understand what you're saying.  Based on social justice classifications white males being the alpha predator of oppressors are not allowed to complain.  If they do they're threatened, triggered, fragile, privileged, fearful, bigoted racists that have no compassion or sympathy for all the other complaining groups they oppress and hold down through systemic racism and an evil patriarchical society.

My best attempt at progressive-speak.

I would imagine that the creation of White Entertainment Network in a country where most of the media is overwhelmingly catered toward white america would be met with confusion and derision.  "Imagine the reaction" to something that you don't even want or see a need for is not the argument you think it is.

The pendulum swings back and forth a bit before it lands where it should.  There is a natural over reaction but I don't think its the new normal.  Americans have short attention spans.

One of the biggest problems is the discussion is dominated by the relatively sane debating the extremists on both sides rather than the relatively sane engaging with each other.  That is how you wind up thinking that the ramblings from 5 batshit twitter accounts is an actual mainstream belief.  That is how you wind up talking about cat litter boxes in bathrooms rather than why our legal system which is color blind on paper can still produce results that are consistent with racial bias.  That is how you wind up talking about whether 7 year olds should have the right to gender reassignment surgery rather than why two resumes, identical in every way except for the name at the top, can receive radically different response rates from prospective employers.

For a little perspective, I like to ask all teachers and civil servants I know how they're introducing CRT into their curriculum and managing practices and wait for the blank stares before they ask "what is CRT?".

I like you Jauronimo,  and I appreciate how you are willing to keep an open mind and discuss topics vs spamming a thread with childish memes or name calling, but this last italicized part is waist-deep bullshlt.

That happened.  Multiple times.  My teacher friends didnt know what CRT was.  I had to define it for them.  My anecdotes are at least as valuable as all the other anecdotes telling me how kindergartners were taught how to perform gender re-assignment surgery but can't say their ABCs.  I am interested to hear yours.

You are talking about 0.0001% of the population. Meanwhile as much as 30% of gen Y says they are non-binary. There's a lot of lost people in this world

the truth hurts sometimes I get it

glad you get it. Knowing is half the battle. How are you going to improve yourself from here? That needs to be the focal point.

start by seeing the world outside of erie county. It’s a big world out there…

Don’t call yourself a feminine crotch, believe you can be better, read a book that’s not on the nyt list.  Close your eyes and imagine you CAN make up your own mind. Stop watching all cable news. Read sources from both sides. stop the facial mud masks, Don’t not put on chap stick in public anymore… you do not need to moisturize… lastly give yourself a hard slap without crying

Good luck we’re all rooting for you

It’s also wild how this mental illness only becomes validated when we apply it to sexuality/gender.

Can we identify as any race?  Any age?  They are verifiable psychiatric conditions called “age regressing” or “transracialism”.

If not, why?  Why do we only validate this?… and not the 65 year old who identifies as 12?  Are the ramifications of that too ethically challenging for the people who believe in chemically castrating minors, allowing men in women’s locker rooms and intentionally confusing children about who they are?

Looking forward to the “young in spirit” folks simply deciding that they are, in fact, young.

That will never happen!!  Ha, ok, sure… because we’re doing SO well with our corporate endorsed, first world, self-driven problems as is.

Take it 1 step further...the young at heart people will identify as 12 year olds so they can date other 12 year olds. That's coming next. And the pedos will say "love is love." Hopefully this world ends before it goes that far but that's the next step for these psychos

they said that same ignorant sh*t when gays were allowed to get married. “What’s stopping us from marrying a goat” or whatever sick sh*t you dumb southerners think of

and guess what “y’all” were wrong, society didn’t exactly breakdown and bubba ain’t marrying his goat. So maybe you guys STFU and sit on the sidelines for a little bit

Ha….

Society is absolutely breaking down, but that’s not related to “gays marrying”, at least not in my opinion.

For the record, I grew up in the NYC club scene 10-15 years ago.. half my friends were gay/bi.  Pacha had a drag queen who led afterhours that I was friends with.

My uncle spent a year in the hospital slowly dying from cancer and I watched his husband display the most purest form of love I’ve ever seen standing by his side.

I’ve gone to Pride, sponsored gay/lesbian equality events.

Then y’all decided to go all in on trans, pronouns and the indoctrination of children.

And because of that, so many former advocates of Pride, are now out.  Now it’s just a divisive political organization.. and no longer the inclusive group supporting acceptance that it started out as.

The slippery slope, for me, started at “bake that cake for us” … it was petty and divisive, and should’ve been the warning of what was coming down the pike when equality - for the most part - is achieved and activists/corporations still need to grift.

Becoming a bit unhinged SUNY. I recommend you take a break. Like many, this place can get to you. It’s a ridiculous political chat room…not a bar fight. Try and keep it together.

Okay…good to hear. This place doesn’t bring out the best in most people. I trust you know that just about everything I post has a hint of sarcasm in it. One day, we’re all going to gather for a cold one. I’m guessing it would be an absolute blast! 👍
